005 Video

[It was dark and the video barely made out Ico’s face but the moonlight caught on his horns, making him easy to distinguish. He looked over his shoulder and breathed in but before he could say anything, he was struck from above.

The feed tumbled until the netbook landed on the floor, now showing only the night sky. The screen crackled with static. Ico screamed, his voice distorted by the malfunctioning device. As the sounds of struggling continued, his screaming intensified. Suddenly, the screen was flooded with a bright white light. The light flowed into the streets, turning part of the city into day. The video cut off and the light disappeared.]

{OOC: Backdated to the night of the attack. Action is locked. IC replies are delayed until Ico recovers and repairs or replaces his netbook.}

[There was much more, and it filled his heart with regret. His voice betrayed him; he tried to sound callous but came out sounding hurt.]

What else do you want me to tell you?

Oh, I don't know. Maybe details about how and where you were attacked, about your injuries, but the way you talk about it I'm led to believe you simply tripped.

Why does it matter to you?

Because unlike other people, I have no intention to sit on my butt all day while watching civilians getting mauled left and right. If you're not going to tell me, I presume you have your reasons, which makes you a little bit suspicious.

[hornedomen]

I’m not telling anyone who might hurt him. He’s my friend.

And that makes it perfectly acceptable for him to continue attacking people, including his 'friends'.

Don’t be ridiculous. I was looking for him, too. He’s not himself, he needs help.

I agree. But he's not going to get any help if people aren't willing to subdue him. You're not doing your friend any favors.

I knew he would attack me but he’s different now.

[He contemplated Adam’s intentions for a moment.]

Would you hurt him?

[neveraskedforthis]

Only if he forced me to. Sometimes it's necessary to prevent worse.

[hornedomen]

Would you kill him?

[neveraskedforthis]

No.

[Ico looked around thoughtfully before he turned back to the screen.]

Meet me outside of the Hold, please. I’ll take you to where it happened.

[neveraskedforthis]

[ uh wow progress. ]

Right. Thank you.

[ and he'll be there in a few minutes! ]

[Ico was waiting outside like he said. Of course, he did not know who to look for but that was why he wanted to meet him.

It should not be hard for Adam to find Ico; just look for those horns.]

[ Yeah Adam's pretty good at finding people. And he probably stands out quite a lot himself. So, he approaches Ico fairly quickly. ]

[Ico looked at Adam but with those features, it would be easy to remember him. He waved at him to follow while he began walking.]

Hello. This way, Adam. It was dark, but I remember everything.

[neveraskedforthis]

[ What is it with people calling him by his given name... ]

Right. And just in case it means anything to you, I've promised to to go after him for a while. But if this keeps up...

[ There he trails off, and follows quietly. ]

[Ico glanced back when he trailed off. He stopped walking and faced him fully. There was traffic he had to wait for anyway.]

Then what will you do?

Track him down, knock him out. Or at least attempt to--and then lock him up somewhere until we can figure out what to do. The attacks have got to stop.

[ He sounds rather firm about this, but there's really nothing that suggests any malicious intent from his side. ]

[The traffic lulled and Ico continued walking. He nodded in approval.]

Put him somewhere that doesn’t have windows. Don’t let any sunlight in.

[His voice turned remorseful.] It hurts him.

I know. But that also means that it's dangerous for people to pass through shadowy areas.

[ There's two sides to anything. Again he follows, then remembers something. ]

What was the bright light I saw on the video feed?

[hornedomen]

[He put his hand against the wall as he walked further into a network of alleyways. Still, he was sure of his direction and continued further along until he felt grooves on the wall. This was where Martin first attacked him.]

That was me. I didn’t know, I thought it would scare him away but it burned him, badly.

[Ico rubbed his eyes with the back of his hand.] This is where I first saw him.

Well, it probably also saved your life. He can deal with the burn, I'm sure.

[ Adam goes to take a closer look at the place Ico was attacked--hoping he can discern some pattern or something, maybe a certain path... but he'll need to learn about other assaults first.

So far he only knows that Martin seems to be fond of dark alleys. ]

[Ico did not respond to that. He pulled his shield over and felt the enarmes. It was repaired since the fight.]

He changed. He looks so different. His hands are like claws and his arms are long.

[He looked up to Adam.] He bit me. It could have been worse, but he can’t bend his arms anymore.
