( When Charles appears on the video screen, he looks happier than ever. Well, happier than... is standard practise, for this place, and especially given his recent interpersonal shenanigans. Still, he's smiling. )

Hello, everyone. I've rather a large request—I will understand if the need does not suit you—but I do hope that you'll hear me out.

I would like to establish a school, here in Exsilium. It would be for everyone, of all ages. I've received permission, and salary funding, from the Initiative, to gather both teachers and students to... ah, well. ( Charles' expression shifts to an apologetic one. ) To help me refurbish this building and make it a proper educational institution.

In the interest of full disclosure, I will let you all know that I've acquired an old building. It's not in the best of shape, and will need to be fixed up—that is where you come in. Soon, I will need teachers; students, too. But for now—for now, all I need is some volunteers to turn this place into a functional establishment.

( Charles presses a button on his netbook, and this picture appears. )

( It takes Charles a moment, and his eyes widen a bit. Suddenly, he looks incredibly pleased; interested, in the kindest way. )

[ It's silly, but that makes her feel happy. She gives him a smile. ]

That's right.

It is a pleasure to meet you. I have learnt of you before, though not through Erik himself, I'm afraid. It had not been—here in this place.

It seems there are many more mutants arriving in this world!

Really! I think Father mentioned you were from a different dimension than us?

[ It's a little weird to think an alternate version of herself exists somewhere out there. And she's just. Not really going to touch that second bit hahaguiltcomplextwinging ]

Yes, that does seem to be the case.

( Charles grins, nods. ) Yes, I had spent some time in another place before I arrived here. It had been in that other place that I had known Pietro—and thus learnt of you.

I am from a rather strange dimension, as it were. At least, that is how I interpret it from my knowledge of your own!

[ She pauses and frowns a little. ]

( Charles nods, smiles softly. ) Quite all right, actually. I would say he was—rather happy.

It had been similar to this. I think it is, perhaps, the only reason that I am so... adjusted to being taken out of my own time!

[ She sighs and smiles, relieved. ] I'm glad. He can be... Well. You met him. But I'm glad he's happy.

Perhaps so, I didn't even think, but the time difference must be quite significant for you.

( Charles laughs softly. ) Yes, I have met him. ( And that is all he will say on the subject of Pietro's moodnanigans. )

Yes—1962 was rather a while ago, wasn't it?

[ The less said the better, really. ]

Rather a long while for me. An even longer one for this place, from the looks of it.

( Smiling, he nods. ) Distant enough, I think, that the culture shock is so surreal that I've no choice but to conceptualise it.

And yourself?

I really couldn't say... The year I'm from is 2012, but there's still a great deal about this place that catches me off guard.

( Charles lets that sink in for a bit, before he looks genuinely shocked; sighs. )

—and Erik—he's from that time, as well?

Yes, I believe so.
