Well, isn't this quaint. Doubt I would have believed it were I not seeing it with my own eyes. At least the woman greeting me was persuasive enough. [You can practically hear the dirty little smirk.]

Even so, I'm not quite sure how I feel out of my home and sent on my merry way towards college kid dorm rooms. Or rather, I'm perfectly aware of how I feel about it, just the words I'm looking for aren't for public ears.

Still. Judging by the archives on this thing, there's plenty of you about who know this world, so come on, share your wisdom with an outsider, would you? One can never know too much.

Some of the new arrivals assume that bars are not here. I am not sure what gives them that idea... However, the best of the pub-style is a place called The Crown and the Lion. The best club-style is a little place called Pinkie's and for a bar and grill, there is the Cascade Lounge though it is not very friendly.

I don't mind a frosty reception. Keeps things interesting.

It is not about the reception and more about how many fleas you want to collect over the course of a night.

A few people do not make a majority of the natives. Most are rather normal with a few single ladies that enjoy a good time and some men that can actually gamble.

Pinkie's is one of the best. They even have a few illegal imports as well as the local flavors.

Anything from a country outside of England. The better vodkas, sake, American beers, French wines.

American beers aren't exactly a great loss to us.

No, they aren't but it seems that the locals do enjoy the thrill of having a smuggled one in hand.
