[Currently, the netbook is upside down when it's finally turned on, so there's a weird angle on the young woman's face as she leans into super close to the screen. Seriously, she spent about twenty minutes pressing buttons and commanding the mirror to turn on. Anyone paying attention to the network probably saw a lot of keysmashing and hearing her say some crap like "Mirror Mirror". :| It's pretty embarrassing.] This is a piece of junk. Is this like one of the magic mirrors I've heard about? Because it's no wonder only witches have them.

[Her cheeks puff out a bit as she moves back, and while the video is still upside down, you can make out that while the girl is pretty, her dark hair is messy and full of leaves, her clothes are slightly dirty, and she's scowling pretty intensely.] I am sick of magic. And also people holding me against my will. [The girl taps at the screen, hard.] Or people using me for their own means. [Basically? There's a long list of things that Belle is sick of.]

Send me home. I will make any deal you want, give you anything you ask for.

[A growl, almost beast-like as she viciously turns the netbook around so it's right side up.] You're reaching here. I never said that I was talking to a witch here. I'm talking to the people who thought they could use me to fight a war.

[Lena pauses for a moment at that growl] Whatever. Not my--

[She rounds a corner to the hallway where her living place is supposed to be, and comes to a sudden stop. Because the chick is right there] --problem.

[Oh that voice sounds way too close for Belle's comfort. She looks up sharply from where she's sitting on the floor outside of the apartment.] Then go away.

[She gestures at the door behind the girl] I'm supposed to be staying there.

[This is fairly terrible.] As am I.

[And Derek happens to come around the corner behind Lena at that moment. Oh look, a party in the hallway. And they're standing right in front of his door. Great.]

Is someone going to open the door and go in, or are we just going to stand here all day? [He is clearly the best greeter ever. It's a wonder he doesn't work at Wal-Mart.]

[Every muscle in Lena's body stiffens for a moment before she jerks around to face him, hand on the sword at her hip.] Who are you?

[Belle scowls, glancing from the annoying girl to the sudden man appearing from behind her before climbing to her feet and slamming her not-magic mirror shut hard enough that one day, she's probably going to crack it.] Let me guess, you also were assigned this place to live.

[He gives Lena a look of barely suppressed disdain. A sword. Really? He's not impressed. When his gaze turns to Belle it's less judging but no more thrilled. At least this one can put two and two together and come up with four.]

Thank you, that's nice and specific. [Not turning her back on either of them, she makes her way past Belle and shoves the door open]

[Hey, if you like that sword so much, Derek, you're going to love when Belle slings her bow over her shoulder. Welcome to the world of fantasy land weapons.

Belle glances between the two, lips twitching into a slight smile.] Oh, this will be just delightful...

[The bow gets a look of trepidation from Derek. Well, at least it's not a crossbow.]

What else can you expect when you're being forced to live with strangers?

[It's clear from his tone that he's none to happy about that. But that's not shocking or anything. He doesn't seem happy about any of this.]

[Lena has come to an abrupt stop in the doorway of the apartment, because she doesn't understand most of what she's looking at. Because she's looking at the kitchen]

There's an entire outside world out there, you realise. Believe me, no one's about to stop you from living where you choose. [By no one she means her. Whatever!! She takes a single step inside the apartment, clearly wary]

[She catches the look and smiles innocently enough.]

Sounds like a plan to me. I'm better off in a wooded area anyway. [Grumblegrumble.

Belle watches Lena hesitate before sighing, the noise almost a growl at the back of her throat before she bumps the other woman aside and walks into the housing area they've been assigned to.] If they were going to harm us, they wouldn't have let us leave.

[Derek follows Belle into the room, hands lightly fisted at his side. He surveys what he can see of the housing area with careful eyes. He's wary, but not because his unfamiliar with the appliances in the kitchen, but because he doesn't trust the situation. But then again, there's not much in the world he does trust besides himself.]

They might not be planning to harm us just yet, but they definitely didn't bring us here for the tranquility and a decent view.

Clearly. [This is directed at Belle who is looking less than, uh, put together. She slides out of the way gracefully before the other girl can do more than brush against her, scowling]

You both got the 'fight our war for us' speech, then?
