[Currently, the netbook is upside down when it's finally turned on, so there's a weird angle on the young woman's face as she leans into super close to the screen. Seriously, she spent about twenty minutes pressing buttons and commanding the mirror to turn on. Anyone paying attention to the network probably saw a lot of keysmashing and hearing her say some crap like "Mirror Mirror". :| It's pretty embarrassing.] This is a piece of junk. Is this like one of the magic mirrors I've heard about? Because it's no wonder only witches have them.

[Her cheeks puff out a bit as she moves back, and while the video is still upside down, you can make out that while the girl is pretty, her dark hair is messy and full of leaves, her clothes are slightly dirty, and she's scowling pretty intensely.] I am sick of magic. And also people holding me against my will. [The girl taps at the screen, hard.] Or people using me for their own means. [Basically? There's a long list of things that Belle is sick of.]

Send me home. I will make any deal you want, give you anything you ask for.

[There's a hiss of steel as Lena draws her sword, but she's not moving to attack anything. Instead she seems to be inspecting the unadorned steel, frowning] This is the same blade I had at home. It can be affected by magic, but not easily. Definitely not without me knowing. How are they planning on making these weapons sentient, exactly?

[It's directed at both of them, although of Derek happens to return to the room he's only going to get a poisonous look from her] If they've let us have the weapons at all, they're either very stupid, or very powerful.

[Belle rolls her eyes when Lena draws her sword. It reminds her too much of the knights of Camwood. Too eager to measure the lengths of their blades. She moves off to the side, leaning her bow against a wall before heading into the area that looks to be a kitchen. Should have gone to find lunch before checking this place out, she figures, when her stomach growls.]

Magic. [Her eyebrows go up as she wiggles her fingers in mockery of a witch casting her spell.]

They're desperate. [It's perhaps the most serious thing she's said so far, voice soft as she checks out the fridge carefully. Empty, of course.]

[Derek can easily hear every word they say and every move they make-including Lena drawing her sword out-even with the walls between them. If he really listens he can even hear the sounds of their hearts beating. He idly takes stock of the second bedroom and deems it suitable. He takes off his leather jacket and lays it on the bed, marking it as his own.

Coming out of the bedroom, he leans against the wall in the main room.]

Magic? [He can barely suppress a snort.] More likely some type of technology. This is the future after all.

[The sword goes back in its scabbard, and Lena closes her eyes for a moment. She's tired, more than just physically, and this conversation isn't helping at all.]

They usually are. [It's a murmured response to Belle's comment about desperation, before her eyes jerk open and she turns her head to the man leaning against the wall] It's not my future. [She pinches the bridge of her nose, muttering] I don't even know what technology means.

[She leans forward on one of the counters now, elbows digging into the wood, chin placed in her hands.] It's not my future, either. And I wouldn't so easily dismiss magic just because that's not what you call it.

[But she doesn't rightly care about the future or technology or any of that at the moment. She's hungry and tired and her sisters are gone. She's been thrust into a room with stranger and there is the problem with her curse. The very idea of attacking people again...

She scowls, standing up straight again as her hand goes to her pocket. The bottle is still there. Maybe the witch knew this would happen to her.]

[He stares at Lena for a long moment with a raised brow. She doesn't know what technology means? He's almost tempted to ask her what century she'd crawled out of but he fights the urge.]

If it is magic, that's what I'd call it. But none of us are children and there's no such thing as magic. [He replied to Belle, without looking at her.

Werewolves, Kanimas, and mountain ash he could deal with. And there was nothing magical about any of that.]
