I really dislike this machine...

[ It's heard as he's trying to figure out how to work it, before he finally focuses the lenses. He then moves back, and takes a seat. ]

Yes, now. I have a question for all of you, and it's... rather important.

[ He then holds up a drawn image of this symbol. ]

Have any of you seen any creatures bearing this symbol? Or any black, ink-like creatures with bright, yellow eyes? I need to know if you have. Because if you haven't, it confirms my theory about this world, from everything I've learned over the last few weeks.

There is no technology like this anywhere. And time traveling and being taken places is ... something really only heard of in old children's tales of grand shinobi. Compared to this place, it's almost primitive, but I like it better.

Shinobi... an old Japanese term. I had thought by your clothing you were from something a little bit more modern.

[ Friggin' anime. He realizes that sounds somewhat rude, but he's trying to learn more about her. ]

We didn't have any networks or laptops like this. Basic electricity was where it ended for us. We weren't living in caves and speaking in grunts.

Basic electricity... how so? Lightbulbs? Refrigeration? Radios, maybe?

[ He's probably prying at this point, but he's finally starting to get somewhere. ]
