I can't be the only person who comes from a place, where for the most part... elves, fae, bogarts, and all such manner of creatures are something that you hit over the head with a poker before you befriend? Honestly.

Not that that applies to all worlds, obviously, I'm not an idiot -- and was raised with better manners mind you. But I doubt that I'm alone in this.

It's been my experience that bullets work a bit better than a poker, dollface.

... What are bullets? I went with the closest iron object I had on hand. It was the fire poker. Not that it was against an elf mind you. That was a bogart. It's seldom elves leave their realm.

They're small pieces of metal shot out of a gun at high speeds. It's quite, ah...painful to be hit by one. Conveniently, they can also be made out of iron.

Elf. Bogart. Same thing. They're all murderous liars.

Bogarts aren't always bad, they can be talked to. They've a fear of pain, so you can sometimes get them to leave if you threaten the right way.
