We have found the— [ A pause, and quieter, to the side: "What is the word?" A heavy sigh from further off, which sounds kinda like Loki. "It is vandal." ] —Vandals! Who ruined things. We found them, even though Roslyn would not help.

I have named them stump for hands, because stump means not to have a hand. [ she sounds so pleased with her own cleverness. ]

If anyone needs to find and punish someone, then you should ask Loki. He is very good at it.

[ And in the back again, from Loki: ] But not without a price.

would you like to finish up their end of the argument?

It doesn't matter what he was. You crippled him permanently, removed any way for him to make amends for his behavior.

You've committed a far greater crime than he did.

Now, now. I did not ever say that it was permanent—so quick to judge, all of you. ( He tuts once, and raises his brows; then lifts himself from his seat to begin quietly pacing 'round the table as he speaks. His eyes don't leave her, however. )

He will have his hands again. Once he deserves them.

AW YES :D

Most people can't take off hands and then restore them.

[ Wow that's not... vaguely unsettling at all she's locking her bedroom door after this. ]

And who decides whether he deserves them?

It is not my decision, if that is the source of your concern.

( Loki takes a few seconds to decide whether or not he's going to elaborate. In that time, he stops meandering about and stays still, though with his head tilted to one side. )

It is the nature of the spell. Once he is over his fear, of course.

My source of concern is you taking justice into your own hands so violently.

[ Standing her ground, chin up. ]

That there is a chance for him to regain his hands only lessens the problems with what you did slightly.

All with your notions of human justice—it's very endearing, in a sort of frustrating way.

—is that so?

Endearing.

Do you genuinely see nothing wrong with what you did?
