Is there anything good about the Initiative?

All I've heard about is what they've done to people here, not to mention their bringing us here in the first place. [ She exhales sharply. ] And making us fight for them is horrible when they treat all of us horribly.

As for these weapons... how are they supposed to grow with us? I thought it took a lifetime of training to be able to master something like that, to have a weapon actually grow with you.

As for the weapons, I know! Isn't the whole idea crazy? Then again, so's time travel and world travel, and we're all part of that now, so maybe it's the one thing this future got right on Earth. Weapons that act like some kind of parasite.

When I wasn't working, I was training. I'm not sure if I can do my training here like I used to. Not without my teammates here with me.

As for the weapons... Does it matter as long as it work? It's just another example of advanced technology. Like the one that brought us here.

But how advanced is it? If they can be used to our advantage and know everything about us, what makes us all so certain they won't be used against us at some point? [ It isn't just that she likes being contrary, really. ]

I don't want to be the paranoid one here, but this place really doesn't scream 'safe place' to me.

The Initiative is like any other group of humans. It would seem their back is to the wall right now, so they are taking desperate measures. I would be hesitant to judge them too harshly until I know more about them.

But they're not off to a great start.

I assume you would have me believe you are motivated only by altruism and love for your fellow man.

I'm motivated by a desire to make sure the bad guys aren't taking advantage of innocent people.

Do you really think they are bad? I often think that they are like any weaker government trying to do what they can with matter they have little understanding of. They are not so bad as the lot likes to give them credit for, only unsure.

After hearing about what they've done to people here, I think I'm being nice just calling them 'bad'.

They are hardly bad. As I have told several people, if they wished to control us and tame us, all they needed to do was insert a microchip into us when we laid senseless on their machines. Why go through all the trouble of designing a poison and a game when they could have just stole that technology along with the technology of their time machine?

Well. They are trying to fix the timeline here! And who knows how that could affect other worlds? I mean that! A little warning would have been nice, but they're very kind when you're polite to them.

Plus they don't force you to fight if you won't or can't, there are other ways to help.
