Fuck you, you Initiative bastards.
Do you honestly think that just saying 'sorry, someone hit the wrong button' is really going to cut it? You messed with our heads. Do you know what else messes with peoples' minds like you just did? Demons do. So care to explain to us how you may just differ? Because I see nothing in your defense.
[And the feed cuts....
for about ten minutes so she can stop yelling. She's still irked though, but let's try and keep this part civil.]
Is everyone else all right?
[OOC: If anyone is offended by the language, please tell me and I'll put the first bit under a cut. /o/]

Oh, ha ha. If you didn't want to see my face, you could just have asked me to put a bag on my head.
Voice
[Off, she meant off. Geez Alistair, how do you even feed yourself in the morning]
Voice
Open flame? No problem. Self-contained heating element? Somehow infinitely more complicated.]
--you're all right, though?
Voice forevs
[And she'll huff and she'll puff and she'll calm down a little.]
Yes, I'm fine. How did you fare?
Permavoice
Being angry can still mean that you're okay. Anger is -- good, sometimes.
I just meant. Whatever you saw, you're -- dealing with it?
no subject
[Deep breath] But yes, I'm dealing with it.
And by the way, that's the second time you've dodged my question. Or is that how you deal with things? Keeping them to yourself until someone corners you and figures things out?
no subject
Yes, I was dodging the question. There was -- some business at Ostagar that I thought was done with the second time we had to kill the ogre there, but apparently not.

I'm sorry then. They went into our memories and turned them against us in every possible way. The best thing to consider is that it isn't real. Not a single person or weapon or the ground you were standing on. They did it to mess with us and the moment you let something like that get to you is when you lose.
[And a little rage rolls back in~] Those bastards will break us into shadows of ourselves before they let us return home and away from their damned war. What better way to keep soldiers, right?
no subject
[He frowns.]
There's got to be a limit to what they can do to us.
no subject
[Snort.] And I doubt it. It's easier to shatter a person into obedience than it is to comply with their needs. If we fell in battle I wouldn't put it passed them to resurrect us. These bastards are certainly sick and twisted enough.
[There's a short pause.]
Just don't let it bother you, if you can.

momFiona.]Working on it. I'll just hit myself over the head with something heavy until everything is a blissful dream.

At least it will help you sleep.

You probably should have tried to whisper that one. I doubt she'll appreciate hearing that.
no subject
...right, well. Too late now.

So it would be. I'd prepare for the worst, were I you.
no subject
[Okay, so sometimes she just ignored him, but -- still.]

Look. I don't know what you want me to tell you, my lord. But if you have a problem with your wife or overcoming what just happened, you have to fix it on your own. Because you're the only one who can make yourself miserable or feel better. And if you let everything take you down, there won't be any of you left.
At least concerning your wife, just try speaking with her. Because I am really doubting it's just the snoring that's a problem here.

[The marriage, at least. He's resigned himself to the fact that it's just going to more or less be necessary for him to tolerate Anora not finding him the most charming person on the planet.]
I'm not! I'm -- optimistic! More optimistic than most people!
