It was certainly nice seeing people attempt to kill my father again. As though having it only happen once in my lifetime was simply not enough. And to include Cailan in all of this...well-- [she cuts herself off]

I may be echoing a few others who have voiced their complaints after our little training session, but nevertheless...what were we to gain from this? Unless this was an attempt to let us know that in the future our enemies lie amongst those we once knew and...trusted, it would have been more beneficial to just pit ourselves against each other in training.

They would be even more inefficient if it was random selection. Only a fool sends recruits into situations that they find difficult to work with.

[They wouldn't send a warrior to do a mage's job, after all.]

It is not random in the sense that we do know when we are to be gathered up and sent off. There have been attempts of organization on our own part, but unfortunately it still has yet to come into fruition.

The Initiative themselves do not appear to have a set strategy in mind, merely a goal.

I agree. Too many people are content to wait out the problems and contribute only when it's necessary. No one will be able to go home that way.

There are moments where one must wait for the perfect opportunity, and unfortunately you are correct. In these circumstances, the longer we wait, I fear there is less of a chance of us returning home.

If only I had as much sway I did at home. It would be far more easier to garner information on these people, and attempt to plan some form of strategy for whatever the Initiative may throw at us.
