[ Jo's on her way to the bank with the ticket the creepy woman gave her when she turns on the feed, so it bounces a little as she walks. ] Okay, other "transports", quick question: who all here thinks the woman that greeted us is completely insane, and who all bought her load of crap? [ Jo's not going to reveal, in so many words, how she feels but it's probably pretty obvious by the tone of her voice and the look on her face. ]

Not even one day! [That answer is disproportionately cheerful, especially considering the moods of the other two people. Maya hops a few steps away from her cooking and therefore a few steps towards Jo, though, clasping her hands together and bowing her head in greeting]

I'm Maya! Nice to meet you, um... [Slightest hesitation as she tries to figure out how to address her] .. Ms. Jo.

So you guys know about as much as I do about this place. Great. [ She'd been hoping her roommates would have a little more information on the place.

Instead, they seem to be Grumpy and Cheerful. Interesting combination. ] Nice to meet you guys, too. [ I guess. ] I guess you guys have already staked claims on the rooms.

[ Well Barnaby has his stalker notes but he sure isn't sharing them right now.

ANYWAY he nods rather than say "nice to meet you" or anything, but that totally counts right. ]

I have, yes, though all of the rooms seem to be built the same way.

[Barnaby who are you stalking... But this person seems nice (at least in comparison to the others]

I'm investigating, though, and I'll share whatever I find!

[Maya doesn't expect to be staying in these rooms anyway, so] They're the same! But if you wanna trade with me, you can. I barely have anything in there anyway.

I'd appreciate it. [ She'll do the same once she feels comfortable enough with them to share stuff like that, but she figures saying as much isn't the best way to go.

Jo glances towards the hall, in the direction the rooms must be in, and then shifts her attention back towards her roommates. ] Oh, no, it's fine, I just didn't want to snag a room that was already taken. I'm the last one here, anyways, so...

[ She pauses for a moment, brow furrowing. ] I am the last one, right? It's only us three?

[ Everything, shoosh! ]

There are only three bedrooms, so it'd be logical if it were.

[ Heaven forbid they also be expected to share bedrooms. ]

Plus, three's a great number! You know, like a trio. [That's her helpful contribution. But really, she wouldn't expect more than one to a bedroom each] I mean... if they want us to fight a war, they wouldn't be complete jerks about it, right?

I wouldn't put it past them. [ Whoever they are kidnapped everyone and is forcing them to be soldiers for a war they know nothing about. What's forcing them to share bedrooms in comparison to that? ] Do you guys know anything about the training schedule yet?

[ He wouldn't either but if he has to share his bedroom heads will rolllllll. ]

If you're willing to train, you can contact a member of the Initiative and make your schedule. It's daily, more or less.

But it wouldn't be very good for morale, would it? [She hmms at Barnaby's response, though, that's new information]

You don't have to train?

I'm guessing morale's not high on their list of things to worry about. If it was, they wouldn't be kidnapping people left and right. [ Or so she'd like to believe.

She's got a similar reaction to Barnaby's response, too, though she doesn't bother repeating the question. ]

So it would seem. While they're enthusiastic about having us train to fight, I haven't seen anything to suggest it's mandatory.

That's pretty weird, though. If they want us to fight, why wouldn't they make it mandatory?

[Woah, things are getting a little too serious here]

Hey, have you guys explored this place yet?

My guess? They're hoping people are going to be dumb enough to agree to whatever they say.

[ Jo just kind of raises an eyebrow at the question. ] I literally stopped by the bank and then came straight here, so no. Have you? [ She glances from Maya to Barnaby. ]

That's certainly possible.

[ He shakes his head. ]

No, I haven't yet.

They're definitely underestimating us, then!

Maybe we can go on an expedition, then! You know, the three musketeers.. a roomie adventure kind of thing.

No kidding.

[ The three musketeers. Jo's eyebrow lifts slightly. ] I think I'm just gonna go crash, actually. [ And by that she means look over as much of the network as she possibly can. ] Maybe a rain check on the exploring?

[ He has a studied sort of non-reaction to Maya's suggestion, dropping his eyes back to his previous work. ]

While there's safety in numbers, a spur of the moment expedition isn't the wisest idea.

Okay! But don't forget, we've got to plan an adventure and everything later.

[ She nods slightly. ] Later it is, then.
