(When the feed first clicks on, it's a complete accident, offering only a very shaky view of the floor. For the past few minutes, she's been turning the device over and over in her hands, the woman who delivered it to her having not explained how to use it. There's brief glimpse of her foot before it's being turned over once more and, once her hand's been taken off the camera itself, you're presented with the face of one very confused young princess, who's very much trying to figure out if this is some form of dark magic or not. It certainly wouldn't be out of line with the way her last few years had gone)

I'm afraid there must be some kind of mistake. I very much appreciate the hospitality, there's little enough one could ask for apart from food and board, and yet, I hardly feel that I belong here. Despite my past (her very recent past) I'm not a fighter, and I'm afraid my being here will not bring you the victory you seek.

(For a moment, an all too brief moment, her lips curve into a faint smile, a spark of hope kindling in her chest. But...no. This is wrong. And it's not just the hair, or the fact that this man looks like he bathes regularly. The Huntsman has never missed an opportunity to tease, surely this would have been too good for him to pass up. And yet...and yet, she can't help staring)

Perhaps that's so, but I've no more need of it, Hu....-Sir. My battle is won and the only thing I possess is a kingdom that needs me.

[ While he notices the staring, he's unsure how to place it, what it should mean, so he merely tilts his head, brow knitting slightly. ]

As do I - there is much in Asgard that needs attending to, but our captors do not seem to have any sympathetic thought towards this.

(There, at least, was a similarity, however slight, to Ravenna and whoever had brought her here. Neither had any regard for others than themselves)

(As if just realizing that she hasn't been acting the part, and not entirely sure how to do so, she stands a little straighter. Holds her head a little higher. Maybe if she does, she'll feel like more than just the captive princess she's always been)

Newly crowned, but yes. Is there a way to let them know, at least? To get word to my people that I've not abandoned them? The kingdom is beginning to heal, but there is still much to be done.

[Her first reaction is to hit the button that would meet Snow White's video feed with one of her own, but Mami hesitates. Her face is riddled with bruises; smudged, yellowing, fading but still there and still sore. She feels a lot better since the riots - her body tougher and quicker to heal than a normal girl's - but Mami knows she looks a mess.

Surely, this newcomer didn't need to see anything like that. This might be war, a rebellion they were all dragged into whether they wanted it or not, but Mami would rather not upset a perfect stranger (who already seemed out of sorts as it was) in that particular way.]

I'm afraid there's no mistake, miss. You were brought here for a purpose, and even if you're not a fighter, they'll find a use for you all the same. I apologize, though; I know that's not very comforting to hear.

(Those injuries certainly would have troubled Snow. Perhaps more than the situation she now found herself in. No matter the reason, or the cause, she had never been able to stomach seeing others hurt.

As it is, the text not scrolling across her screen is difficult enough to understand, and she reads and re-reads it several times before finally responding) I'm not entirely certain I could be of any sort of use to them. Especially knowing that my kingdom is left unprotected. Surely I can make them see sense.

[That response get a wry, almost pained smile out of Mami. Unseen, she shakes her head and wonders to herself why those in charge, these higher powers with the will and ability to bring in other people from across time and space, couldn't be more selective in their choosing. Those like Mami, with nothing much to return to....no home, no family, no life to speak of....wouldn't those sorts be much more fitting candidates for a task like this?

They would have nothing else - certainly not an entire kingdom - so they would have the Initiative.]

Another person with obligations, huh? You have my sympathy. If you've a kingdom to run, however, I can see why you were chosen; that makes you a leader, and every rebellion needs a few of those. I understand that you must be worried about your people, but those pulling the strings here have precious little stake in being persuaded to send any of us home.

I advise you to not waste your time in that respect, and to be careful - things have only recently settled down here. I assume you can at least defend yourself to some degree, going by what you've already said. Is that right?

(Were such a selection process in place then, until just a few days ago, Snow would have been the ideal candidate. Both her mother and father dead, hunter by the woman who was supposed to be her stepmother. No desire to rule, but only to live)

I've only just been recently crowned, I'm not entirely certain I'm capable of leading. (The group she had led previously were angry, easily riled, especially when it meant standing behind the rightful princess. They would have followed anyone they believed could bring them a victory) I can defend myself if need be, but that doesn't mean I possess any desire to join a fight that I have no part of.

Unfortunately, those bastards aren't the discriminating type. There're as many warriors trained to battle here as there are those who haven't a damned clue. Some being kids.

(More than upsetting, that has a surge of anger rising in her chest. Mind immediately turning to the children she had met on her journey to Duke Hammond's castle. Children forced to mutilate their faces just to avoid being draw into a war they had no part of) Surely they must be looking for something. There must be a trait that draws them to us and not others.

(Well that's crude. The Huntsman is the only other person whose deigned to swear in front of her, and for a brief moment, her brow furrows in something very much like disgust)

I believe I have heard as much, yes. I'm just uncertain what else they could want me for.

If you cannot fight, then you can do something else. As for your needs back in your world, it may be possible that they would be able to place you back at the exact time of your appearance here.

Of course, that is a theory. More than likely you will fade out of existence and your world as well. This is not the only group with the abilities to take you from your world, and I am sure that this group is not as harmful as the other group is.

(You'll have to forgive her if she's lost for words for a moment or six. She's lost her kingdom before, but the possibility of it being gone for good is too horrifying even to consider)

Surely that wouldn't happen. This other group, what could they stand to gain from erasing an entire world's existence? A world that has done them.

(Well that's just....huh. If it weren't for the significant height difference, she would almost be able to mistake him for one of the dwarves)

I chose no weapon, though I was given the choice. I simply kept the one I arrived here with. It was made more for defense than for any sort of fighting, thought.
