[This query brought to you by a pretty handful of missing puzzle pieces, not that you'd know, since Lenalee has no intent to justify or explain that imagery, nor to keep picking at scabs until they fester.]

We've already seen how the smallest change made can rewrite the entire history of this world. People are unborn, warheads are undropped... because we've cut out the circumstances which led to their happening.

How do you think that it might be the same for us? Transports come and go so often here and no one knows why. Whatever we do, we are always altering chances, there is no reason not to consider they could also be our own. That someone arrived on a day no longer existing may suddenly leave, or return by new circumstance, or forget they were ever here before.

It may be that we don't "go home", just. "Never arrive".

There is a single set of events that paradox space has designated as the 'proper' timeline. Any occurrence which deviates from it causes a split and the ultimate destruction of those involved.

It all boils down to predestiny and the world's determination to keep the status quo in check. I highly doubt that a place such as this would be immune from it.

[you inadvertently poke one of the many unaddressed issues of Rose Lalonde, she is unfortunately unkind in return. someone really needs to chaperone her.]

Sometimes remnants remain. Shadows of memories and personalities, grafted onto the alpha version of the unlucky person.

That doesn't mean that the world they were originally from has somehow managed to escape its fate.

Oh, thank you! The sympathy of a complete stranger after receiving a response to the topic they brought about clears away all assumed pain I've been carrying around.

[if Rose were the sort to stoop to emoticons, she'd have rounded her reply out with a :) just to send the PAness through the roof. as it is, it's an acceptable amount of bite. she doesn't want anyone's pity, especially not someone as apparently emotionally weak as this girl]
