Giving a note here. I found a way to make the Transporter run on a little less power than it had before. Which, given our situation here and however long this may last, is pretty important. However, it means now all new Transports will arrive on the 8th from this point on. And no, I don't know how to "make it stop bringing people in." I've tried. I've begged. I've prayed. It won't stop. Don't even ask, please.

[He scratches his head, and then rubs at his eye.]

[At that, Vennett squints at the screen, actually thinking about what to say this time, as the fallout from their original network posts had the rolling consequence of mutiny.]

Why?

[Freshly back from a mission and all in one piece, he's not interested in shutting the thing off. But why would cutting the power down cause it to extend whatever cycle it's on for a week? That seems weird.]

[Because after Karkat one person suggesting they just destroy the machine a schematic would reveal weak spots, and after Break another person suggested they get someone to replace him, and thus end his usefulness and life, he's not too keen on the idea of letting anyone else deal with this machine until he's fully vetted someone to teach.]

[Well, he's had canned soup pretty consistently for the past month or so. Not like any of them can go out and hunt a deer or yeti or whatever it is the Transports have been hunting. So it's not awful, really...]

Rolling acceptance was getting to be a hassle anyway. Truck 'em in by the busload, get it all at once. Batches of newbies, they can be like teams then. What's the percentage decrease in power consumption?

Down seven percent. Which doesn't seem like a whole lot, I know, but I'm not really eager to take my chances on accidentally depowering the whole thing to find out the best solutions.
