This is no way to seek Asgard's assistance. I am sworn to the House of Odin; my king would not have us interfere with the realm of mortals without his command.
[ She makes a frustrated noise; clenches her fist, curls it in before releasing it. ]
Nonetheless… Honor will not allow me to refuse aid to those in need when it has been duly requested of me. [ An altogether too complex situation for her liking, and she just got through with one of those. ]
I am Sif, shield-maiden of Asgard. Make yourselves known to me, fellow warriors, that I might know what allies are to be found in this place.

video; move to action soon?
video; yes

[ In all honesty, he might not actually mind that, at least it would be some improvement from the coldness he's gotten from him, but with that, he stuffs the netbook in a pocket (because he has no idea how to turn that thing off) and with some whooshing offscreen on Mjolnir being whirled around at his side, he's off ]
action;
[ Sif will just stand here and wait
come to think of it i have no idea where she even is ]
action;
And? Have many ages past while you waited?
action;
Eons. Stars were born and died while I waited.
action;
[ He jokes as he approaches, tossing an arm around her shoulders an giving a hearty pat - just as strong as he'd give Volstagg before he steps back to survey the street in front of him. ]
There is much to speak of, Sif. How much have you been told?
action;
As much as the woman within the Hold said, which is too little by half.
action;
We have been brought hence in an attempt to secure our assistance in their endeavors and they hold us hostage until we do so.
action;
[ She levels her gaze with his, and the worry there is clear. ]
It worries me that they would have the power to snatch not just one but three Asgardians and hold us prisoner. If the Allfather has such power to transport you to Midgard despite the Bifrost's current state, he should be able to retrieve you home. Unless... [ And now she is speaking her thoughts aloud as they occur to her, for Sif has never been one given to silent contemplation. And this thought is troubling. ]
Unless we are beyond his power. That, or he wishes us here, but would he not tell us so if that were the case?
action;
[ He glances around the streets, ears perking to the distant noise of the rabble. They're away from the majority of the fighting for now, and now Thor begins to walk, leading Sif towards the housing they'd been provided. As he walks, he's quiet for a moment, a hand going to rub along his jaw as he contemplates what Sif said. ]
There is purpose in all the Allfather does. Perhaps this is the case, but there is the simple truth that we cannot know. [ He pauses, glancing back to the building they'd each emerged from after being summoned to Exsilium ] We must... consider that there may be a power beyond the Allfather's control at work.
action;
[ She bites the inside of her cheek, an open show of unease. Around Thor, it is easy to let her walls down.
Sif is a daughter of Asgard. She fought against tradition and propriety to claim her position, defied her father's will and the expectations of the masses. In her heart she knows not all of Asgard is right, but Asgard is a part of her, and who do gods worship but their king? Deeply troubling, the thought of a power beyond even the Allfather's.
Still. Sif was trained for this. ]
Then we are left to our own judgment. If their cause is truly just, we cannot deny these people our aid.
action;
[ He comments, eyes drifting to a street that lead off to a more crowded area of the town, scuffling and yelling possible to hear from that direction. He'd already given his hand in the riots before, yet the contention came from a well of it, angry citizens continuing to flow forward against the Initiative workers.
There's a nod and he knows as well as her that be it a noble cause they are honor bound to serve it - though not the Midgard he knew, this place is still Midgard and that only puts it under what Thor has sworn to protect. Though this be more a civil feud. ]
We will judge in the coming weeks the worthiness of their cause. Loki, however, must be sent back. [ He levels a gaze at her to his side ] I cannot fight a war and keep attentive eyes on him at the same time. Memory or nay, he is too dangerous to be allowed on his own.
action;
[ Her nostrils flare at the memory of her conversation with Loki - less a conversation and more an angry confrontation. But she is good to her word, and she will leave Loki to Thor's judgment. ]
What do you mean by that - by your mention of memory?
action;
[ There's an earnest nod to her. He knows he cannot handle Loki singly and Sif's attentiveness, even if more aggressive than needed, is greatly appreciated by him. There's a pause before he continues, looking down ]
You recall that our memories of what has passed differ, Sif? It is the same with Loki. Or so he says.
action;
Perhaps it is better if I do not know, for the nonce. [ Wryly: ] At least until I master my temper.
action;
For now, we will simply watch, and wait. If Loki plots, something will arise of it eventually, yet it is impossible to know yet.
