So another month, another batch of poor lost souls that are wondering what did they do to deserve this fate. Kinda sucks huh? At least we're going back down, although apparently we're not in Kansas anymore.

[ Here she takes a moment to take a little breath. ]

I mean, we weren't in Kansas to begin with, but hopefully at least half of you will get the reference, or I'll be a very sad Ella. While we're on introductions though, this is Ella Ellis speaking, Doer of Things, Helper of the Needy, God of Awesome. I also make a mean mac & cheese, by the way.

[ At least she's grown comfortable talking through the tablet? Is that even a good thing? ]

Anyway, I plan to remain in the Moon Base until the twentieth or so, so if anyone around needs something done, let me know. For the new kids that means I can make most things out of thin air, and I'm being rather literal here. For the old folks, well, you either believe me by now or you don't.

[ Ella then proceeds to drum on the tablet's surface for a solid minute. ]

Oh, I almost forgot: How do you guys celebrate Christmas? Hanukkah? The equivalent I'm obviously missing? I thought it would be cool to make pines or seeds to grow and plant them somewhere, but then I realized not everyone might know about it. Then it hit me that me being me, this should probably freak me out in so many levels you don't even know, but if you don't mention the whole religious implications, I sure won't.

Anyway, I'm out of things to say. Stay safe, stay sane, and always wash your hands after using the toilet.

Of course the regional subdivisions are virtually nonexistent, that's sort of the United Earth idea.

Well the shapes are mostly like back home, and I can guess why there are holes here and there.

I think it would be more useful to learn a map of the world when countries where a thing, though.

Yeah, we still have to do a lot of meddling in the divided era.

Sounds like fun, but also not. Define meddling?

Missions, what else? Especially with the recent shift, it's a lot easier to work before the United Earth's formation.

I guess it should be, considering there doesn't seem to be much of anything down there now.

Are we going to mess with the timeline? I would love to mess with the timeline. I mean it's not like we haven't accidentally caused anything awful to happen.

Down there? Are you speaking from above us? I thought you would have come down for a White Christmas by now.

I'm not sure how I feel about Christmas yet.

We got the zombies out of the way early this year, Ella.

Which is like, totally cool, but that's not my point.

I know it's... bad. We can't keep reaching into a bloody torso and calling it open heart surgery. If we stop altogether, though...

[If Ella could see her face the downward twitch of her mouth would probably be noticeable. As it is the noise she makes is almost too quiet for the mic to pick up.]

If we completely stop going on missions we'll be stuck here until we freeze to death. What we need to stop are ragtag missions happening one by one, sometimes at odds with one another.

So you want big, wonderful organized missions? Sounds reasonable, but it also kind of dangerous. I mean you are more likely to be noticed if you travel with a big group of strange people.

Well, you know that I look like a girl, right? Although I guess it would be cool to look a bit older, maybe I would be more imposing that way.

It's a façade all nonstandard human transports are obligated to employ. Unusual appearance and mission participation is not a big deal.

It's kind of a shame, but I guess we can't risk there to be records of aliens in the past because that might make the bad guys act faster.

Yeah, just a slight irritant. One time they infested the island with monsters due to the misplacement of a "spoon".

There was evidence that Initiative members had been in the past. This evidence was what human beings call a "spoon", whatever that is. The United Earth in the past discovered this evidence and decided to infest the island of Exsilium with monsters, which had decimated the population by the time we had returned to the present day.

So we did more time travel to fix that.
