if your character is uncooperative, bariyan (or someone else? other concerned adults, c'mere!) will likely go HUNT THEM DOWN and try to take them to a safehouse built in one of the abandoned subway stations underground (courtesy of robin, anders, and nathaniel). bariyan's got magic powers that let him put people to sleep and he's NOT AFRAID TO USE 'EM so watch out for that too.

note that regardless of anything that happens, chances are that your character(s) will get dragged on missions/out to defend exsilium anyway.

You could say that. [ grumbling ] We're trying to keep them out of the missions, and away from the civilians. They're not... [ ...being cooperative, but Bariyan cuts off and starts a new thought. ] Hazama, are you going on any of the missions?

As much as I'd love to help out, I'm afraid I'd only get in the way. Plus, well, I'd be tripping over my own feet at this stage what with this whole distorted perception stuff, so I'd hate to be a burden.

So, I guess to answer your question...nope!

A mix of both. And... well, one of them has powers that let him take over someone's body. I don't know about the others, but it may not be safe to assume that they're just children.

Whoa, seriously? That's a scary thought alright...

But don't worry. Part of my job was communication; y'know, effective use of language, negotiating, that kinda thing...I'm sure I'd be able to talk 'em down if anything happens.
