I don't think I've ever - actually posted anything to the network before. [ a small, amused smile creeps up on her face and wow, belle, really? you've been here almost half a year by this point. ] For those I haven't had the pleasure of meeting, my name is Belle. [ the smile grows wider; she waves at the camera. ]

Actually, I have a question concerning the - um - the monsters in the woods. The yetis? I ran into one on the original scouting mission, but I'm afraid I never actually made contact. Does anybody have any information about them? Maybe some safety precautions if one actually intended to study them? I know there are similar creatures in different worlds, but I don't know if things like temperament are consistent between them all.

They are, but no one can come to a consensus about them. It's all speculation and things they've seen or heard.

Why do we not just send an ambassador and find out?

As far as I know, we don't have an ambassador. At least, not in the formal sense. We do have the Department, however, which I'm a part of. [ so she's totally qualified. even if she's a greeter, and not a liason. shhh. ]

I will not demand compensation if you want to take the idea and make use of it.

[It's not as though he could do it himself. Not being human, he would not feel qualified to represent humanity or its interests in a situation like this (aka. not with his own people.)]

Compensation? Pay you for using the idea of a political official?

I'm certainly glad.

In the time period I was residing in, I was given to understand that it was important to immediately take credit for whatever might remotely be yours and capitalize on any monetary gains right away. Or threaten to sue anyone who might take it.

It - doesn't always work that way. The idea of an ambassador is actually a very common concept.

I don't think anyone will attempt to sue you. Don't worry.

That's reassuring, although I wasn't really serious. Except about the part that it is sometimes a highly escalated element of 21st century American culture.

[And some of it is really, really stupid.]

It might be more exaggerated than you'd expect. [ granted, she spent only a few months in the twenty-first century, and was isolated for decades before that. she might not be the best authority on it. ]
