question for those of you who are coming to earth OR have already come to earth!

because i'm curious: what are you most excited to do when you get back down OR what was the very first thing you did when you came back that you couldn't do on the moon :)

I suppose because being a superhero does not always mean that you are right. Or that you use the power you are given wisely.

Normal people in human government cannot punch through walls with ease, I think.

Do you mean superpeople could pass bad laws or that they could punch through walls even if they weren't in government?

Yes, that is true. It happens. But nobody in those situations has all the power. There are limitations on both sides.

I think it is very confusing for people. Where I come from, we don't have this problem. Earth is still working out what it thinks would be best.

Maybe. Sometimes the people who are elected or selected aren't always a good choice, even if they seem like it at a time. Appearances can be deceiving.

[NORMAN OSBORN ANYBODY.]

Yes. I think this is where the part about accountability and the unease with codenames and hidden identities comes in.
transuniversal: (I don't know but I'm gonna find out)

The tradition for heroes on Earth is to go by a name like "Iron Man" or "Captain America" instead of their real name. So when the Kree warrior Mar-Vell came to Earth, they did not realize that he was giving them his name, and assumed he a hero called "Marvel." Or Captain Marvel, as he came to be known. I was Captain Marvel for a time as well, called after him, but my name is Noh-Varr. You see?
transuniversal: (it's not an "old line" it's truth)

[personal profile] transuniversal 2014-01-06 07:37 am (UTC)(link)
Yes. It doesn't translate into any Earth language though. The "-Varr" indicates the paternal contributor of my genestuff, like a human last name.
transuniversal: (let me double check with Kate)

[Beat.]

How old are you?
transuniversal: (not "norman")

[personal profile] transuniversal 2014-01-07 01:01 am (UTC)(link)
I would put things differently if you were younger. I wanted to make sure I did not have to explain some of the logistics. It's the required contribution of gametes necessary to assist in the conception and development of a fetus.

[The alien way of describing spunk, essentially, except it works for both sexes.]
transuniversal: (that's "Noh-Varr")

Genes describe the traits and make-up of your individual body. Genestuff is how you make more of your species.

I was only trying to answer your questions.

Does that name mean anything?
transuniversal: (think twice)

[personal profile] transuniversal 2014-01-07 07:25 am (UTC)(link)
What does it mean?
