because i'm curious: what are you most excited to do when you get back down OR what was the very first thing you did when you came back that you couldn't do on the moon :)

I know most of the Avengers. Captain America's shield doesn't seem to be well suited to snow sculpture.

Not where I come from. But several superheroes did serve various positions within the government. I believe opinions vary on whether or not that was a good idea.

I suppose because being a superhero does not always mean that you are right. Or that you use the power you are given wisely.

how is that any different than any normal person in the government

Normal people in human government cannot punch through walls with ease, I think.

but they can still like pass bad laws or do other bad things right?

and anyways superpeople could do that even if they weren't in government

i meant regular people could also do bad things in government, not just superpeople, and that superpeople could also do bad things if they weren't in government

Yes, that is true. It happens. But nobody in those situations has all the power. There are limitations on both sides.

I think it is very confusing for people. Where I come from, we don't have this problem. Earth is still working out what it thinks would be best.

well if people trust them enough to vote for them it should be fine, right?

Maybe. Sometimes the people who are elected or selected aren't always a good choice, even if they seem like it at a time. Appearances can be deceiving.

Yes. I think this is where the part about accountability and the unease with codenames and hidden identities comes in.

The tradition for heroes on Earth is to go by a name like "Iron Man" or "Captain America" instead of their real name. So when the Kree warrior Mar-Vell came to Earth, they did not realize that he was giving them his name, and assumed he a hero called "Marvel." Or Captain Marvel, as he came to be known. I was Captain Marvel for a time as well, called after him, but my name is Noh-Varr. You see?
