So when it starts recording, I should speak to it?

[ From behind the camera, a voice chuckles, sounding amused. ] Kou-chan, it’s already started.

[ The girl gasps and blushes, covering her mouth in surprise. ] I’m sorry, I didn’t... Oh, how do I begin? Um, h-hello... everyone. I mean, greetings! I mean...

[ A whisper from behind the camera: ] Introductions, Kou-chan, introductions~

Yes, you’re right. It’s not like I haven’t introduced myself before. [ She turns her head a few degrees away from the camera. ] I am Kougyoku Ren. I am… eighteen years old. I am from the Kou Empire, and I, I like fashion, fighting and… um... Anyway, I. I am looking for friends.

[ Again, from behind the camera: ] So, if you’d like to be her friend, please reply to this video!

[ Kougyoku immediately smiles and faces the camera after that line. It’s as if her personality did a complete 180. ] Did I do good, Tatara?

[ And, once more, the voice behind the camera chuckles as the feed shuts down: ] Very well done!

Yeah! ... We couldn't travel through time or anything like that, but we had phones and tablets with similar functions to these ones. It's not that hard to use once you get used to it.

Mm, it must have been easier for you to adjust to this place then... Everything looks so foreign to me. Even my body clock is having a hard time adjusting.

There's still a lot that I'm not used to yet... It's always hard, moving to a new place without much of an orientation. [he might also be thinking about his experience in Inaba but ssssh]

Right? It completely throws you off your routine. Most of the time, I just worry about what to wear or what to eat. Now I have to think of a thousand more things to do and consider... I've never had this much freedom before.

[he crosses his arms, looks to a side and then says sarcastically] Yeah, a kingdom of cheap deals and terrible co-workers.

Nah, it's where I work. [a shrug] 'Junes' is a department store chain in my world. It's kinda like a super huge store where you can buy all sorts of stuff.

[AND BECAUSE IT'S OBLIGATORY, he chimes rather unenthusiastically;] 'Everyday's great at your Junes'

That sounds lovely! [ She claps her hands together. Shopping! Fun. ] So why are you the prince? Do you own it?

[he stares at her for a couple of seconds before his ears turn red and he crosses his arms in front of him in an 'X' gesture]

No, I just work there! It's just... a nickname. [he looks sheepish as he lowers his arms] Kind of. Not even a good nickname.

... I guess I'm supposed to be the Prince because dad's the general manager. [blink] Which means he's the head honcho in the store.

[redsea]

Oh! I see. Then that nickname is... [ what his co-workers think of him. She gets it. ] Mm.

[ She's quiet for a moment, trying to think of what to say. Once she comes up with something, she asks in a softer voice, ]

Hey, do you know what they call me behind my back?

[juneshero]

... [he was about to make a quip - try and cheer her up again - but stops when he notices the soft tone]

... No. [a start] B-but you don't have to tell me if you're not comfortable with it.

[ But Yosuke just told her a sad thing about him! It's only fair. Since Tatara is still in the vicinity, she says this loud enough for only Yosuke to hear: ]

It's "lowborn princess".

[Yosuke blinks, then bites his lip. He's not familiar with princesses, but even he knew what lowborn meant. But does this count as establishing a social link? Is this a rank up?? SHOULD I GO GET THE MUSIC?!]

That's-... [he bites his lip then laughs quietly(self-deprecatingly?)] Getting talked about behind your back sucks, huh?

[then at a normal volume] Well. If you want my opinion... [he winks with a smile] I think you're pretty great.
