72demons: (whether it be good or evil)

video.

[ when the feed begins, the figure in it is a young man, probably early twenties, with blond hair and green eyes. his clothing seems very archaic and very expensive, so he was probably a person of some means before he was brought here.

he offers a small, serene smile, though his gaze is obviously curious. ]
I still find it amazing that one can speak across great distances with a device like this. [ his smile warms. ] Hello. I have a question for you all, if you have a few moments to answer. I've met some very interesting people in the few days that I've been here, but I have to wonder.. in all your worlds, are angelic and demonic beings a constant?

[ he fiddles a little with a ring on his index finger, turning it back and forth absently. ]

If so, how do people generally regard them? Do you have personal experience? [ a brief pause, lashes lowering sheepishly. ] I only ask out of curiousity. Perhaps to compare to my own world.

[ he reaches to end the feed, then offers a startled glance, eyes widening. ] Oh! My apologies. My name is Solomon, by the way. For reference, for those familiar with earth, I'm from the kingdom of Israel, though I'm given to understand that I lived a very, very long time even before most of you. [ he draws his hand back, tapping his mouth thoughtfully. ] .. Yes, I think that's it this time. [ ends the feed for real! ]

[The kingdom of Israel-- that would have been a long time ago even from Walter's perspective. A long, long, long time ago.

...Did that mean that this Solomon person was Jewish?]

Are you asking about religious beliefs or actual angels and demons? Or both?

There are a few religions that have them, I think. The general beliefs people have about them are that angels are good and are messengers of God, and that demons are evil and enemies of God. They're not on the list of beings that I've personally encountered, however.

[Such is to say, there are others that he has yet to mention.]

Yes. Numerous vampires, a werewolf, and a "black dog". Vampires are probably closest to the demons you asked about. Followed by black dogs-- people will often call them hellhounds.

Put as simply as possible, vampires are undead monsters that feed off the blood of the living. Each person bitten by a vampire will in time either become a vampire or a mindless zombie-like servant known as a ghoul. A ghoul is something like a failed vampire, but it's far from harmless. The ghouls can make more of their number as well. It's a brief description and far from complete, but that's as much as I'll give you on them for now.

The werewolf, I did not have much time to observe. He was able to shift form between that of a man and something between a man and a wolf, and was both incredibly fast and incredibly strong-- amongst other things. There are legends and stories regarding werewolves, but the one I fought was different.

[But similar enough that Walter recognized him as a werewolf-- which reminds him; he should really set aside some time with Seras to go over the details about that werewolf.]
