second pill ☂ ( video )
So how does death really work here? [It's a strange question to even be asking, but--]
I heard others died before. Here. Like dead dead. [Not that she's thinking about it, but the girl has predilections for. Well at least the reasons she has in the past aren't exactly here.]
Oh-- also anyone got any cigarettes for trade. I'd say I'd kill for some, but you know... [She wiggles her fingers before shutting the feed off.]

[He couldn't have asked for a more useful loaner power, honestly. It's exactly what he's always wanted.]

[But he's not teasing entirely. He pulls a vial out of a pocket and tosses it her way. Inside are some little white pills.]
The label came off, but they're nice. They make you thirsty but they take the edge off. If you take 3 don't go anywhere, you'll need someone to talk you down later. Totally worth it for the euphoria kick.

[Not that she needs someone to do drugs with, but it's always better to have a friend there.]
no subject
Sure.
no subject
Yeah, wow. Great.

[He's a little distracted himself, lost in thought. But he reaches behind himself and comes up with a juice box for Cassie anyway. Well, it's probably juice. It's written in some other language. Someone must have gone shopping in Tokyo or something recently.]
It's not bad. Tastes like milk and flowers.
no subject
[She takes it with her free hand and looks at the box, unable to read it. She just holds it for now, but smiles anyway.] Lovely. [Popping the lid off, she raises her brows at him suggestively before downing two pills.]
no subject
What grade were you in?
[Like that.]
no subject
You?
no subject
[That makes him sit up straighter. The cultural gap means that he assumes she's older than he took her for at first. Nice. A college girl is talking to him like he exists.]
I mean, yeah. Me too.
no subject
So what's school like in the states?
no subject
Pretty lame. I try not to go too often.
no subject
I miss home.
no subject
What?
[Because he can't have possibly heard that right. It would be the weirdest coincidence ever.]
no subject
no subject
[Well. He's probably just hearing shit. He might've done a little pre-gaming, honestly. Stan shakes his head, and leans back against a sack of rice.]
I miss home, too. People didn't try to kill me as often there.
no subject
[So not even getting that she's telling him about... him.]
no subject
[Because he's obviously hearing things. He knows that he's misunderstanding, hearing wrong, imagining...losing his mind. But he doesn't want to alarm her. Not while she's about to get body checked by happy chemicals. He just shifts away uncomfortably, behind a row of tins in his cupboard.]
no subject
Why? What's wrong?
no subject
The crazy might be contagious.
[He means his, of course. He doesn't know about hers yet.]
no subject
What do you mean? [Her? Is he insulting her?]
no subject
[Because it sounds completely insane. If he were really losing it he wouldn't know that though, would he?]
Just...uh. That sounds familiar. Too familiar.
