ATTENTION TRANSPORT COMMUNITY:

Hullo there from your neighborhood detainee! I realize a number of you may have forgotten about us in the past week, but we remain cheerfully under lock up in the West Wing where we've sat for going on eleven days awaiting you lot to get your shit together so we can get this nonsense sorted. Now some of you may be unaware under what terms we agreed entered holding. In the interest of full disclosure, I shall outline those here:

1. We were to be granted protection from the general transport population until justice could be served.

2. We were to receive a fair trial and face whatever sentencing the transport population deemed fit despite the overwhelming lack of civil structures to support fair sentencing.

Despite CI Small and the Transport Police Force's valiant efforts, these terms have not been met over the past eleven days. Members of our group, supposedly under the protection of the police force, have been assaulted. There has been very little communication to us about any forthcoming trial; we have been assigned a lawyer and promised that we won't rot, but all evidence (network postings and otherwise) points to the contrary.

Very few of you know me personally, but I can tell you right now that I'm not the most patient sort you'll ever meet. As of this moment, we are being held here entirely under good faith. But allow me to make this infinitely clear:

You have no code of conduct or system of law.
You have nothing to charge us with.
You have no jurisdiction to hold us now, much less indefinitely.

And as of right now, I'm feeling a lot more vulnerable in a small room than I am protected. The personal benefits of me waiting here while you sort out a system of rules that we can be grandfathered in to breaking are beginning to look very bare indeed.

So as of now you have one week from today to figure out how you plan to deliver us a fair trial (as I think none of us would be content to see this brushed under the rug). If December 6th comes and goes, I'll be petitioning CI Small to release any of us who agree to absolve her and the transport police force of any responsibility for bodily harm rendered to our persons that might occur when released into the general population (given that many of you are apparently eager for our blood, though none but our own was spilled over the course of the base's lock down). If you'd like to do something about this, I'd recommend putting your heads together and getting it sorted sooner rather than later. Holding us here like animals when we've technically broken no laws and done nothing to set back the war effort - made infinitely clear by the AI's latest transmissions - while you run round going on about betrayal and what-if's is irresponsible at worst and unethical at best.

No. [Not under UK law, but under Hellsing rules...] But half the problem we've got is trying to find an unbiased judge and jury to convict you lot. Even with a random lottery there's a blummin' chance eight-ninety percent of them would be calling you guilty before we even started.

Though yes. If the transport population really can't even draft even a preliminary code of conduct in two and a half weeks, I'd rather be thrown to the wolves than watch while they stumble about grasping in the dark after their own bums. If the only thing they can agree on is shredding us then nothing done from within or without is going to make any difference

You know the sheer diversity of people here makes it a bit problematic. The differing scale of crime and punishment will make it hard to agree on something appropriate. Some people's cultures would have you strung up by now. In mine lifelong imprisonment would probably be the sentence but that's not exactly practical here.

I'm the accused; it's not my job to figure out how to deal with myself. We've surrendered to the police force and to the judgement of the transport population; now it's your job to figure out a course of action from here or be responsible for the result of inaction

Well you could have a little more patience about it. You try wrangling a population this large into some sort of order and agreement.

I could be a lot more forgiving if any of these talks seemed like they were moving into the actual development of something written or vaguely law-like. Sorry mate, I've seen a lot of debate here and not a lot of action so you'll forgive me if I'm a little more demanding when it comes to something my bum is riding on

But progress is happening, maybe not at your preferred speed but that's how it is. If you didn't want to be in this situation maybe you shouldn't have mutinied in the first place.

You'll get your trial and your due punishment, I'm sure.

Talking is progress, there's been plans discussed and written for a council to be created and a code of laws. I'm confident a vote will happen and it'll be for the better of the community. People are thinking about it which is better than what they were a few weeks back.

Once someone or someone's take charge things will happen faster.

Talking isn’t progress. You must not have been here for long if you don’t recognize that already. Show me evidence of a single person who has gone beyond talking into actually using any of the suggestions proposed to draw up any kind of council nominations list or outlines for laws and I’ll give you the point, I swear it

You talk about how things will move faster once a leader is elected but in the mean time we’re three hundred plus people sitting on our hands waiting for someone to decide to take the reins. That’s never going to happen if everyone’s waiting for someone else to do it
