Hi.

First things first this isnt going to be a lecture. Tensions are high enough and Ive barely been here long enough to have the whole history down yet. (Working on it) Besides, you've already herd plenty of it. So this isnt about that.

[ Not overtly, anyway. He's trying to do the "subtlety" thing. He's not taking notes or anything. ]

I'm Doug by the way. Mostly I'm trying to figure everything out still, you know. That sort of thing. I'm a curious and openminded sort of person wich is why I have some questions:

1. Whats your favorite thing about being here?
2. And least favorite thing?
3. If you had to make up 1 rule what would it be?
4. Why's the coffee so bad & Are there vending machines (where)?

Thank you thats all.

They seem to be nice people. At least I don't think they want to eat anyone.

Oh, being more than one thing at the same time, you mean? And how to reconcile the two. I see. Yes, I think that is interesting as well!

I will have to watch some of these movies.

In my world, animals can talk, and we have some creatures who are considered people, just as much as humans are. But some humans do not trust them, and think they're wild. And there are great differences, but it can make for much conflict.

What do the animals say? Well they talk just like humans, so whatever they chose to say. They are very intelligent beasts!

And they are considered people and citizens of Narnia if they can talk. Because we have animals who can't talk there as well. So you see, it's the intelligence that makes the difference. A Talking Horse, for example, is very different from a dumb horse. Talking Horses can plan, and give advice, and you would never ride a Talking Horse without permission from him first.

[He did! He might say it again too.]

We have all sorts of Talking Beasts in Narnia - Horses, and Dogs, and Stags, and Dolphins, and Elephants, and Birds. Different ones talk more than others. Birds, for instance, are very chatty, and so are Dogs.

I am not sure why some animals were given the gift of speech, and others weren't, actually, but that is a good question.

That is very accurate. You have a good way of assessing a situation, I think.

I do! And you ask good questions, that make others think.
