Hi.

First things first this isnt going to be a lecture. Tensions are high enough and Ive barely been here long enough to have the whole history down yet. (Working on it) Besides, you've already herd plenty of it. So this isnt about that.

[ Not overtly, anyway. He's trying to do the "subtlety" thing. He's not taking notes or anything. ]

I'm Doug by the way. Mostly I'm trying to figure everything out still, you know. That sort of thing. I'm a curious and openminded sort of person wich is why I have some questions:

1. Whats your favorite thing about being here?
2. And least favorite thing?
3. If you had to make up 1 rule what would it be?
4. Why's the coffee so bad & Are there vending machines (where)?

Honestly, I'd be happy as long as you promised to do it yourself! That's all I can hope for in terms of spreading the word.

Sure I can promise. Ive had plenty of practise. This a big problem here?

I've had people pick fights with me because of the way I talk and present myself, becuase they think I'm stupid or too nice. Also when we were living on the island a kid stuck gum in my hair.

Thats no good. Being too nice is only your business- youre the person it might cause problems for, so its usually better if you can stand your ground too. I think. But I dont think youre stupid either.

I think the argument might be that its totally caused me problems before so I should reconsider it! But whatever, it's my life or whatever.

You're nice to say that. I'm trying to accept that I might not be as stupid as people say, but I'm not quite there yet. :)

Thats right. It is your life be as nice as you want too. Sets a good example.

When I was young whenever I had that problem I told myself that everyone's smart in diffrent ways. Which is true.

I don't know about being a good example! I think a lot of people see someone nice and they just see someone to step on. So I gotta learn to be tough too!

Everyone IS smart in different ways!!! I had a problem like that when I was younger too! But sometimes you wonder if the way u r smart is useful LOL.

You should at least know how to defend yourself. Its always worth it.

Sure it is. Its always gonna be useful sometimes. And no ones useful all the time.

OH don't worry about that Ive been to battle and everything, gotta do that around here if u wanna protect ur friends

Got that right. Nothing more important then protecting the people you care about. If you have them. Is it rigerous?

Well all of the people I care about are way better at fighitng than me so its not as rigorous as it could be

but it definitely takes getting used to if u weren't in a war b4 u came here

I wasnt. Never been in one. What kind of fighting would someone need to know here?

Self-defense! You never know when you might get into a scrape on your own. And a little research into whatever weapons you'll run into on whatever missions is always a plus. What weapon did you pick?

I just kept it simple got a knife. I know a little self-defense, I thought better I have something Im used to.

Good thinking! If you practice it'll be come something more suitable to you!

Right! Exactly! When I frirst game here I was like "oh idk if i can fight" but I figured at least a flashlight would be useful at some point! Never know when the lights are gonna go out or you're gonna have to hide in a cave from bombs...

Light is always useful. Id hate to think what this place would be like if the power went out to long. I dont think I'll need a knife but you never know exactly what sort of people you'll end up stuck with.

I can understand why you'd think that but I hope you'll give people a chance. Even folks who have killed a lot of people or exude a really evil aura might be nicer than you think. I've gotten along well with pretty much everyone I've met!

How do you tell if someone has a really evil aura? Dont think I would know how to reconize that even. But I am an open minded guy, Im not here making any snap judgments.
