Hi.

First things first this isnt going to be a lecture. Tensions are high enough and Ive barely been here long enough to have the whole history down yet. (Working on it) Besides, you've already herd plenty of it. So this isnt about that.

[ Not overtly, anyway. He's trying to do the "subtlety" thing. He's not taking notes or anything. ]

I'm Doug by the way. Mostly I'm trying to figure everything out still, you know. That sort of thing. I'm a curious and openminded sort of person wich is why I have some questions:

1. Whats your favorite thing about being here?
2. And least favorite thing?
3. If you had to make up 1 rule what would it be?
4. Why's the coffee so bad & Are there vending machines (where)?

1. There's a lot of things here that I couldn't see back where I'm from. A lot of things that don't even exist back home.
2. That I've been separated from a lot of my family by being here.
3. We don't get a whole lot done when we're so focused on fighting one another, so maybe hold off on the matinees until everything else has run its course.
4. Probably the same reason the food is so bad.

2. I dont care for that part either.
3. Maybe skip over them entirley better yet. Unless everyones got a common enemy & youre not outmatched.
4. Not exactly the same...unlike the food the coffee would probably be better if it came from a can.

I guess this moonbase would be a good start. I've never heard of anything related to space travel back home, but I guess that makes sense since we weren't ever allowed to leave Cocoon...

Skipping over them entirely would be best but people are really, uh... fickle, I guess. They forget what has happened before or likely just won't care.

Well, probably but it's more the overall quality of everything. It looks like they had it all in mind for it to last for some time, which is helpful but I guess taste was sacrificed in a lot of ways though.

We've put men on the moon were I come from...but nothing permenent. Not like this. Its really something.

Id say fickle and impulsive. Bad mix most of the time it only leads to trouble. Seen it plenty but on the moon the stakes are higher.

...At least we arent starving.

We hardly know about the world below ours, so it's definitely more than something for me. I'd almost say incredible, if the entire reason we were here in the first place wasn't so awful.

Doesn't help we're all crammed together either, people's emotions seem to run higher like this...

The monsters almost weren't starving either.

Thats just the thing...the situation wouldnt be half as bad if not for the circumstances. Wars always hell no matter where it is. Or when.
