['Sup fellow moon people. Here's a face you've never seen on the network before, though some of you have seen the kid around by now.

Stanley is a teenager, about 16, with blond hair hanging in his face because he hasn't had it cut since at least June. In spite of that, a bit of his startled eyes still show through. His voice catches a little, and he's out of breath. There's an unusual urgency to his tone, for those who are familiar with him.

And while he's kept his mouth shut through the mutiny, now he seems to have something to say. In spite of how insignificant the question seems when he poses it, there's a barely restrained edge of panic to his entire being. Something is most likely up here.]

I-uh. I'm looking for the lost and found. But it's not-it's not on the map. Little help?

(OoC: That recently announced world change came with a few significant other changes. Namely, to the former Exsiles. Including smuggled children. For those that knew about Peace this will be an easy puzzle to solve. She's gone, guys. Never existed at all, officially.)

[He's not even going to fake it for Tempest. His tone is pleading. He only found out a few days ago about the timeline changes that have happened before. This just can't be one of them, can it? It's too cruel.]

[He swallows loudly, throat dry or lumpy or both. His voice shakes a little when he tries again.]

She's gone. I....I think she's -

["gone" just shoots her, and she takes a sharp, shaky breath. Her voice, which she was trying to keep steady, ends up coming out shaky instead]

Stanley, you need to - would she get up and leave, maybe? Perhaps go visit someone while you were asleep?

She can't reach.

[He understands. His voice is shaking, too.]

The door. She can't reach it.

She cannot simply just be gone. That is - that is impossible, isn't it?

[No one fucking said they'd literally be changing the world, dude.Why did no one ever say that? Why did no one ever warn them that making friends with Exsiles could only be disastrous?

This isn't his usual calm indifference. This is carefully bottled freak out, held together with some cellotape.]

[peter lets out a little breath like someone just thwapped him in the stomach. nope, this isn't going to end well, he knows it in his balls.

of course, it's actually already over. there's nothing to do.]

Okay, Stanley, what happened? Where are you?

Uh...under a bench. Just checking everywhere. She just. She can't even reach the door. You know? She didn't-she couldn't. So. So...so, uh. So.

[a pause. it has already been a shitty day, and it just got exponentially shittier.]

Just...gone? I'll help you look.

[The echo is soft. There's guilt in that reply, in spite of the circumstances. Maybe even because of them.]

[his voice cracks on the word.]

[Softly, gently, even just a touch kindly, Philip talks to the boy.]

You were custodian of an Exile child, weren't you?

[OOC: let me know if this isn't something Philip would have been able to figure out by reading the entire network and sneaking around the vents of the moon base for like two weeks.]

That wouldn't be allowed.

[Which is a yes. But he's still not admitting to it on the network. They can see this, dude.]

(OoC: Not from the network, no. He was really, really careful about that. But sneaking around in the ventilation he'd have easily been able to see it. Stanley was with the kid almost 24/7. And for a teenager who'd never even had a goldfish before he gave the care taking thing his best effort.)

Right, of course. Though if someone had brought anything with them that originated from the city, there is a strong chance that... it could disappear, if history was changed.

[He swallows, visibly.]

Perhaps, if whatever you may happen to be missing would have left traces, such as marks or stains of some sort... Seeing if those marks have now disappeared would be definite proof that whatever it is you may have lost is now no longer in existence.

...No. There's still that spot on my shirt from the juice. It's not gone. What does that mean?

[It probably only takes her about ten minutes or so to make her way to the cafeteria. Once she's there, she makes a beeline for wherever Stan's holing himself up there, because the poor kid did not sound or look good in that video.]

[It might take her a little time to pinpoint him without cheating, because he's decided that a pantry cupboard is the best place to hide for the time being.]

[Well, she wasn't going to cheat when she got there. She kind of thought he might be somewhere out in the open, but upon realizing that's not the case, she'll definitely cheat. ...Even then, she'll make sure to check a few other cupboards and such before finally opening the one that he's in.]
