[Now here is someone who's been absent throughout the mutiny mess, if the confused look on her face that appears briefly is of any indication. Gently combing through her wavy hair with a free hand, manicured fingers wiggling in and out, Sheryl lets out a soft sigh as she purses her lips to frown deeply.]

Well, well, well... if what I'm getting from hearsay is all true, then I'm so relieved to miss the disaster completely!

[She parts her mouth like she's about to say more. Angry rants at the people involved, massive scolding for dragging the rest of the Transports into their troubles and causing destruction, nicely-worded yet sharp insults at their direction. Instead, she slowly pushes the momentary look of anger aside, gaining her composure while she rubs her cheek and sits up straight, blue eyes locked on to anyone viewing this feed. Sheryl appears calm now, but she's nowhere near her boisterous self, not after learning what happened to Jesse (or what he did).

Still, she manages to sound happy enough. Only a little.]

Anyway, there's something I've been very curious about and I'm hoping to hear excellent answers from you. Now be good people and lend me your ears, all right? It'll only be for a moment.

[A faint smile morphs on her lips, but it lasts for a split second before she frowns, looking thoughtful. Cue the long pause.]

Have you ever wondered if you feel any differently after growing up in this war for so long? I'm not talking about emotions alone, but if you've changed completely after dealing with the Initiative, the UE, that irritating AI, these missions... everything. I've been here for almost a year now, and there were so many experiences I'd never thought I could possess. I wonder, does this mean I should feel older because of it? There's something to be said about war causing people to grow up so fast, after all...

[Like joining forces with a resistance to fight another country, using her own songs to drive the enemy soldiers literally down to their knees. The way she speaks contains genuine ruefulness to her tone, but it's not too long before she smiles once more.]

As of today, I'm officially eighteen, and yet I still feel like I'm seventeen.

How about a vacation disguised as a mission? It was a short one, but I went to Hawaii with a friend! We went shopping for clothes and other supplies, of course, but there was some fun to be had while we were there. Truly an opportunity to leave the moon base for a while.

[A brief pause.]

Besides, who's to say we can't have a party of our own to distract ourselves?

Heh. I was kinda doin' that, yeah. To be honest, for me, it's nice bein' able to even just go out to normal places usin' the disguise tech. No weird looks or horrible comments. [He smiles weakly.] Plus I hit up some concerts while I was out.

But now I'm startin' to wish I knew what kinda supplies we needed from Hawaii. That's a good idea, too.

Smart man. If we're using their hospitality, they have no right to complain if we're off having fun without them. [There may or may not be a fond look in her eyes at the mention of concerts.] How nostalgic...

Even better now that I've brought along food! As much as Rise and I able to carry, but it's a start.

I'm headin' out every day, so now it's time to pencil in a beach excursion, I guess.

'N if you ever wanna head to a concert, just let me know. It's a good excuse for gettin' outta here too.

Oh? I'd rather start a concert of my very own! But if you know of the best sights, you'll have to tell me.

Heh. Yeah, alright. There's plenty 'a places out there. Actually makin' that happen? I wouldn't have a clue how to do that.

Concerts usually take months to plan in advance if you're going all out. The instruments, the back-up dancers, the stage lighting, the costumes, the perfect venue for fans to stand in like to buy tickets... everything must run smoothly!

[He chuckles just a little bit.] Yeah, I don't think we got the resources for that. How 'bout just an open mic night somewhere instead?

I don't usually do "simple and plain"... except for charity events, but I wouldn't mind performing like I did back at the NORA Café again. Just this once.

[Her eyes widen a little along with her smile.]

Oh, I know. We could do an open mic night at my party! The cafeteria is large enough, and we can simply decorate it to our liking.

Not even just for the sake of music? I'm sure big productions are awesome, but hey, it's better than nothin'.

Hmm... Yeah, I'd be up for somethin' like that. Ain't really been in a party mood lately, but I can make an exception if I get to play at it.

Being a singer is already about doing things for the sake of music. Isn't that redundant?

[She nods enthusiastically.]

Oh, of course, just as long as you still have the guitar. We can't have a party without music, after all~

I dunno. I'd be just as happy singin' on a street corner as I was in a stadium. So long as I get to do it and someone's listenin'.

I got a new one actually. My old one got left behind at the UE compound. [He looks a little sad about that.] But yeah, I'd totally play at it, no problem.
