Okay, here's a question for you. If you've decided to settle down on your home planet that's suddenly not-dead and start up a new government after a civil war that lasted for ages, would you elect the one bot who served directly under the guy who started the entire thing in the first place?

Because I'm really trying to see what anyone could have seen in Starscream and I just don't get it.

Swerve had a list of them - I think we managed to knock 'Moon Quest' off the list, which just leaves 'Space Quest' as the ongoing one.

But less of us as a species and more of me and a few hundred other Autobots.

And what do you do, on this Quest of Space?

We're searching for the Knights of Cybertron - the Guiding Hand - to bring back Cyberton's golden age.

( they also make bad life choices and get people killed. so there's that. )

Does it really exist, or is it only a legend?

[This is an important question, because he's Kree, and he can't tell if this is just like the "Holy Grail" and King Arthur and the realness versus the metaphor is debatable or if that's a legitimate artifact.]

No one's sure, which is why we're going to find out. There's a map - was a map - inside the Matrix ( rodimus not everyone knows what you're talking about ) that we thought would lead us to wherever they went.

They're supposed to exist, and we're going to find them.

What are they supposed to do?

Supposed to do? Return Cybertron to the Golden Age. They embody everything good about the old days, everything it means to be Cybertronian. If we found them - when we find them - they'll help us restore the planet.

So what does it mean, to be Cybertronian?

[Though he's still working on "what does it mean to be human" some days.]

Anything other than what we are now. The type of people who aren't going to destroy their world again or oppress others. We've got to be proud of who we are instead of ashamed or hiding the fact we're Cybertronians from the rest of the galaxy.

I mean we just spent four million years fighting each other and laying waste to planets. It's got to be better than that, and whatever came before.

It took your people four million years to stop doing that?

I don't think any of us expected our civil war to last that long, or spread out so far. But yeah, kinda. It was that or let Megatron win and if you didn't think 'peace through tyranny' was a good way to live, you fought.

I assumed they earned the name for being good at deception. Which seems deeply ironic.

It comes from "you are being deceived", which is what Megatron claimed was happening with Nominus Prime and everyone else. Before he decided to drag the entire planet into a civil war.

( it's complicated, and Rodimus only knows this because he was an insurgent during Zeta Prime's reign and prime recruitment material. )
