the bottom line is that not every person on this base can follow just how bad it's gotten around here. we used to have a functioning city in our hands. missions were run quietly and the UE had no idea we were tugging the rug from under them. but the initiative did horrible things mate. poisoned people drove them mad. from there it was a downhill slide. we lost ground and we lost worlds and very very few of us remember what that loss was like.
or what it felt like to not have a choice
so the newer crowds can't understand it and we don't blame them for it but it means the severity of being pressed back to the bloody moon doesn't sink in like it ought to. they play games and throw parties and float about without gravity for fun when we're on our last leg.
too many people died for this to start forgetting about it now.
