She brings a question she'd talked to Ros about, in her own way; something she wants to know very simply because she doesn't, and it's all the more important now.

When it comes down to do or die, who do you trust here to make decisions to pull people through, and not leave people stranded high and dry, or freeze up and fall into inaction? People who keep their temper in heated circumstances. Ones who maybe aren't going to forget the bigger picture, even if that doesn't make it easy on the smaller scale.

I've got a few names myself! Blue, Kate Kane, Nathan Summers, Caesar Silverberg, Lenalee Lee, Xerxes Break, Gilbert Nightray, Jaime Reyes, Ashraf, Kang, Peter Quill, Donny, Armin Arlert, Chrono and Rosette, even Dick Grayson and Ahiru and Vanadi, of all people, would stand by you figuring things out.

Hahaha, I'm sorry, that's two blues in a row, but um, with all that stuff on Project Chimera, have you like, found anything talking about when they started learning how to grow people up so fast? Someone had to have a breakthrough on that, unless science really works that way! I'm not sure, it's all super advanced for when I'm from.

And um... okay, I'm not sure about this one either. Tony? Tony Stark? What do you know about uh... renewable energy stuff?

Oh, oh! Yeah, that always helps. It's people you know, those things, they matter! I guess that's why I feel it's important people get to know each other here, too... not all of us are so lucky to be surrounded by friends from home. We get whole new scary adventures in friendship to go off on!

Mm, no, I totally agree; it'd suck if I'd shown up here alone. It was just me and one other guy for a while, and we weren't even really friends at the time.

[He can't help but smile broadly then--she remembered him! He never wanted to think he was forgettable, of course, but just knowing that someone remembered him, enough to remember his voice, at that, is one of the greatest things he could hope for. Lifelong goal aww yis.

[He flips to a video feed and grins fetchingly.]

You mean Axel never told you about his super attractive and charismatic brother? Tch--that's why he's the evil twin.

( Just starts - oh god redheads you pop out of the woodwork sometimes! - and grins, though it's lost to audio, outside of a shift in tone that's much lighter and more spontaneous: )

[OMG did that actually work? He tries not to laugh, and obligingly brings the tablet closer to his face.]

Oh yeah, no tattoos here. [He smears one fingertip across his cheekbone to prove it's not just a makeup cover job.] You can tell he was the evil one cuz'a those tattoos, man. Bad news, that guy.

[Well, it's not entirely untrue.]

( She squints, then laughs. )

Maybe he wanted the tattoo's to stop being mistaken for you! Twin rebellion. Do twins even do that?

[Okay, he can't help it, he just laughs and shakes his head. Okay, he's not actually going to lie to a friend for entertainment, that'd just be rude.]

Actually, I have no idea. It's me, Collette. I, ah... decided to go back to using my first name. You might say I had a bit of a change of heart, got rid'a the tatts. I mean, come on, they made me look like bad news!

[It's about as close to an explanation that'll make sense out of universe context as he can get.]

Actually hilarious, and she blushes because she was so buying it before he clued her in and that's so dumb of her. She's not exactly surprised at herself -- twins would be the least strange of things she's heard about -- but come on! Where's her sense of doubt?

Went through tattoo removal and everything? That doesn't scar? Talk about a complete sort of make-over!

[He continues laughing, but it's mirthful, not derisive at all. He's still not sure if it's psychosomatic or if he really can feel things more acutely now, but laughter seems to come easier these days. It's kind of nice.]

[And then he scratches his cheek and looks a little unsure.]

Well, they weren't exactly normal tattoos. It's kind of complicated. Ah... let's just say I returned them for a full refund, so... no scars. [Aside from a few emotional ones, but who's counting, right?]
