002 // Video (shortly after the transporter is brought back online)
So, um, hello. I'm back.
[Have a disgruntled Draculina looking into the screen.]
What the bloody hell happened here?! Because it looks like someone made a sodding mess of the place, and while I didn't mind being in London it's worrying to say the least when you go two days past your return date. Not to mention some of the gear we brought back can spoil.
Can someone please give me an explanation? Because if this mutiny malarky is real I hope the bleeders responsible got a right royal arse kicking.
[Seras grimaces, she's only scanned the network and what she's seen is worrying to say the least. Something big happened and she wants to know what.]
[[ooc: Action are good for this post if your character wants to catch Seras coming out of the transporter room or anywhere. Replies may be a little slow until tomorrow c:mun is le tired]]

I'll be waitin'
[Action]
The Draculina is carrying the pizza box, containing a pepperoni pizza, and a can of Pepsi.]
Came with it.
[She smiles, showing the can and places them both down on the table before him, after which Seras pulls out the chair opposite and sits down herself.]
I kept them in the mini fridge in the hotel room, so there's that going for it.
[Action]
So, tell me...
[He flips open the box. Yep, that's stale pizza.]
Why is it that I woke up on the Moon with a buncha zombies and a little civil war breaking out?
[Action]
She tilts her head at the question (and still looks mildly apologetic about the pizza even though it's not really her fault that it ended up stale), puzzling out exactly what he's asking. It's best to go for clarification.]
Well there's the 'official' reason why any of us here. But then do you mean why you, specifically? Or why are we on the moon at all, with these things happening just as you got here?
[Action]
Second one. So far I haven't been able to get much of an answer about that.
[It was usually "Because the Initiative is inept" or "Because some people can't focus" or a variation of that.]
[Action]
[Seras frowns and begins to talk.]
I'll tell you as much as I know, it started shortly after I arrived in Exsilium. The U.E attacked the city and kidnapped a number of Transports and took them back to their city where they were questioned and held captive. Shortly after that the Initiative launched their own rescue mission comprised of two teams, one for distracting the U.E forces and the other to sneak in and save the kidnapped transports.
The U.E has special soldiers you see, they can null abilities, it's what makes a direct attack so difficult. I helped with the distraction team, mostly making a lot of noise and mess while others did the rescuing. The plan worked, we saved everyone who was taken but...
Well, you can imagine how the U.E reacted to that. The Initiative got word that they were launching a nuke on Exsilium and the only safe place to send us was apparently here. [Her expression darkens.]
Which they did at the cost of their own people. Thousands abandoned to die to save us because they think we can save them.
[Action]
Well, at least you managed to explain all that without screaming.
Sounds like some kinda mutiny was inevitable... Having a buncha stressed out people all cooped up like this...
[Action]
Who on Earth has he been talking to that 'screaming' would be a part of it?
She nods.]
The ghoul attack certainly didn't help anything.
[Though it made her feel pretty swell at the time.]
It keeps going from bad to worse and so far no one seems to be coming up with any answers.
[Action]
You mean for getting back to Earth?
[He gobbles down the last of the slice, not caring at all that it's gone stale]
Ya know, so far I haven't seen anyone talk about going back there. It's just been lotsa folks arguing about this or that. Waste of time if you ask me.
[Action]
It's what's supposed to be happening, figuring out a way to stop the missile from hitting Exsilium and save everyone who died that way.
[Seras is mildly horrified by the rapid consumption of the stale pizza but says nothing of it, focusing on the topic at hand as she rests her chin in her palm.]
I don't think anyone will be for a while now, it's going to be all about what to do with mutineers. There's no... no real leadership here. That's half the problem.
[Action]
[He reaches for another slice then hesitates and gestures to the box, one brow arched. He's silently asking if Seras wants any.]
[Action]
[A pause as she thinks this over in context with the mutiny.]
Bloody hell, it was inevitable.
[And she looks at the box from his gesture and then shakes her head.]
No thank you, I don't eat... um, food.
[Action]
[He doesn't sound upset about this and casually tugs another slice loose with his fingertips.]
Oh well, more for me.
[He sits back and chews thoughtfully.]
So you're sayin'...what? There should be some Transports running things?
[He manages to ask this around a mouthful of pizza.]
[Action]
[She says and smiles, revealing her fangs. Seras doesn't mind saying it to Dante, she's quite confident he won't take it badly and besides, she's already been open about what she is to the populace at large. If she didn't tell him she's quite certain he'd find out from another source sooner rather than later.]
I think we should have a command, people we can all feel confident in. Whose words we can respond to and trust.
[Action]
[Action]
[Action]
[He takes another bite.]
It was just a whole lotta people yellin' and nobody listenin'. Both sides.
[Action]
What do you think should be done?
[It's a question of pure curiosity, wanting to know more on Dante's perspective of things.]
[Action]
Dunno. Politics aren't really my thing.
Men in suits make me nervous.
[Action]
Bad experiences?
[Action]
Something like that.
[Action]
[She answers his smile with one of her own. Whatever he did back home won't bother, despite her lawful inclinations.
It is however fun to play the 'try and get Dante to actually give details' game.]
[Action]
[He folds his arms over his chest]
C'mon, babe, do I look like a criminal to you!?
