As of this moment, all identified mutineers are in the custody of the police. Should anyone wish to provide help with guard duty it will be appreciated. Visits to them will be allowed only under supervision. Should anyone attempt to injure them, that person will find themselves in cuffs faster than they can blink.

My patience with having to repeat myself on this matter is wearing thin.

[ Her tone softens a little, almost an appeal. ]

While there will be consequences for their actions, we have enough war and bloodshed on our doorstep without killing each other. Nothing will be gained and much could be lost. We do not execute people, and I will not tolerate it as a suggestion.

All systems should be restored. The base should now be fully operational again and you can return to your daily lives, if that is what you wish. Alternatively, you can consider what was said on both sides and determine if what we are doing is truly enough, or if we have become complacent.

The doors are unable to opened from the inside, so the problem is more likely to come from the outside than the inside. I will be available at all meal times and if a guard ever felt the need for back up while permitting a visit they can call me.

There was a police system and fledgling law system in place in Exsilium. While most of it died with the city, some of its officers still remain.

Endangering the peace is the current encompassing charge. The law system was still in the works, though, so the actual legalities of an eventual trial will be difficult to work out, but it's what was asked and I intend to provide it.

Yeah sorry but I'm kind of not really getting this. I mean how do we have a trial without some sort of government? Not even a chief or a king or anything, let alone like, actual laws. Is the Initiative the one making the rules? What's going on with that?

Who's going to make the judgement? How can we know they'll be impartial? This seems really iffy to me, just saying.

I work security for the Initiative. I kinda had to be.

The laws were being set up by a group of Transports familiar with the law systems of their homes and studying the laws of this place as well.

As for lack of a government - I do not need a government to tell me my duty as an officer of the law. My duty is to the law, not to a government.

The finding of impartiality will certainly be 'iffy', unfortunately. It's a problem I have yet to find a solution for, but you can be certain that I will do my absolute best. And if you have any suggestions I welcome them.

How can you be dutiful to the law if we don't have one? No one ever told me there was a law system set up. Where can I look at it? Who put you in charge of the police?

And I don't think any trial is gonna be impartial. You saw all those people shouting for their blood on the network.
