( As desirable as hiding away in his room forever currently sounds, after over a week on the moon base, restlessness has hit Edgeworth hard. It is time to find answers to the questions that had been weighing heavily on his mind. Or, at least, the answer to one question in particular. )

It appears that much has changed since I was here last. ( He twitches slightly at that massive understatement, but reacquainting himself with his current situation had been troublesome, at best. ) I've kept myself abreast of recent events through the use of the network, but there is just one matter which I wish to enquire about further.

( He swallows, although his cravat obscures the nervous bobbing of his Adam's apple for the most part. Despite doing his best to keep his expression neutral, there is a decided tone of unease to his voice. )

If anyone knows anything regarding the whereabouts of my Shiba Inu, Pess, after ... my disappearance this past May, do let me know immediately.

She was here with me six months ago. Her present whereabouts are ... ( as much as it pains him to say it ) unknown.

And you have no way of knowing if she's - if she was left behind?

[ belle tries not to grimace, but there's a distinct frown that grows on her face. that's awful. ] Surely someone would've taken her in.

I -- cannot be certain. Thus far, there seems to be consensus that she remained in the city after I departed it.

[ then that just leaves getting her up here. she bites her lip and sighs. ]

Unfortunately, I don't think there's a dog here at the base. I know I haven't seen one.

Indeed. A dog on the moon would attract quite a bit of attention.

( And he sighs heavily. People keep telling him that Pess has returned home, but some small, niggling doubt remains. What if she'd been abandoned? )

( He's still not quite used to people offering their assistance without expecting anything in return, although Wright's interference as of late had introduced him to the concept. Thus, he slowly retrieves a photograph from his wallet. It's of a Shiba Inu, although this one has a cravat tied around its neck. )

Of course. [ she takes a moment, peering into the camera at the photograph and - should she screencap that? does this work like an iphone? we just don't know. but she looks easy enough to remember. ] She's lovely, by the way. Hopefully she'll turn up.
