Hello!

[when this video post starts, the focus is somewhere... around the top of her head. Colette's eyes widen as she notices that she's holding it too high, so the view suddenly jumps down (yep, she just over corrected). Nibbling on her lip a little, she tilts it higher again... perfect! Determined not to let the view vary she tries her best not to move it]

My name is Colette Brunel. I haven't talked to everyone like this yet, so... hello! It's really nice to meet you all.

I'm sorry to bother everyone like this, but I wanted to ask something. Even though we... don't live on Earth anymore [her gaze grows a mite somber as she talks about it] it still sounds like a very important world. A lot of people here come from Earth, and we're supposed to travel throughout Earth's history! I come from another world that is very different, so I would really like to learn more about Earth if I can.

And so... if anyone knows anything about Earth and has a little time to spare, I'd love to ask some questions! O-Or, if you would rather just tell me a few facts and not be asked any questions, that's okay too. Anything would be helpful.

[although, a thought strikes her] Ah! That doesn't mean that I don't want to talk to people if they're not from Earth. I'd like to hear about everyone's homes! They all sound really beautiful in their own way, and it would be nice to hear about many worlds.

[she pauses, and smiles sheepishly! She's not one to get shy, but she feels a little bad making requests like this when everyone is probably busy]

T-Thank you. And... wow! If you have all of them with you, you must be very busy keeping them safe.

[he thinks about whether or not containing them inside of him body for the duration of their contract is "keeping them safe". is he the one protecting them, or are they protecting him from the incessant pull and push of the voices inside of his head? he doesn't want to romanticize the idea because in the end, they are chains. they are bound to him by contract and unless he dies off completely and his body becomes unusable—

it's fine, he thinks. it's all right. he can't die.]

They're Chains. In my world, Chains are creatures from the Abyss...

[and his just happen to be large, scary chains - with the exception of owl.]

Creatures? [that's now what she thinks of when she hears the word chains]

Why were they named that? Do they look like chains somehow?

No, they don't look like Chains... though some can use chains as weaponry.

—they have names, of course... 'Chains' is simply what they are.

[she's not quite sure that she gets it, but she doesn't want to hold up the conversation too much by being slow]

And you said that there are five of them... what are their names?

Jabberwock, Raven, Gryphon, Dodo, and Owl, [he says, ticking them off in his head. it's not enough to bring them out, so he doesn't worry much about calling their names.] are their names. They look like large birds...

[an understatement tbh.]
