text ♫ 3rd note (backdated to when new transports came)
How fascinating to see the moon from this perspective rather than from the earth. To closely see that which is light only to realize the darkness hidden within makes for fun contemplation. What is truly light? Who's to say it cannot equally be called dark, hmm~? Light and dark, good and bad: who can say whether one or the other exists. (◡‿◡✿)
Also, Lord Vessalius, should you still be here, I would like to request your presence for that midnight stroll this evening. (◕‿◕✿)

Oswald. He's here.
No, it would be Glen now, wouldn't it? Lacie smiles softly, wistfully. Thanks to her death he had come so far and, even so, he's still playing the role of her big brother. Same old Oswald.]
Basked in too much light, the darkness grows dull, hmm?
I am where you would grow especially dull, big brother.
[aka observatory.]
[text]
...maybe he shouldn't think about it too much. he only protects because of--]
Lacie.
[if it were in voice, it would have been a tired Lacie, something weary and small, but it's in text so all he can do is hope his tone gets through. (he know, though, there's only one place like that on the ship-- so stay.)]
I'll be there soon.
[text]
So rather than replying, Lacie simply waits in the observatory (he'll see through her riddle easily so it's only a matter of time before he arrives). She's seated on the floor and watching all the stars aglow on the large screens. Stars displayed on these monitors still hold a certain loveliness to them, a loveliness once having been impossible for her to see again.
The same can be said of Oswald. To think she would get this chance to speak with him again. Maybe the smile on her face widens the teeniest fraction. Small miracles, wondrous as they are, cannot hold a candle to the big miracle that is going to happen soon.]
[action]
but, it's fine. right now, he can deal with the harrowing despair that whispers in the back of his mind. he can forgive, for just a moment, lacie's thoughtlessness and carelessness - he can forgive it, to see her again.
the observatory isn't that far off from where he already is. the ring on his finger that's his weapon is on him of course, close and alien now. he sees her in all of her beauty, staring at the stars, and wonders: can he really forgive what he has no right (yet) to be angry over? can he say what's right, can he even--
(does he have the right to stand near her anymore? does she have the right to exist, does he have the right to deny 'glen baskerville'?)
he's so tired all of the time, but for her he puts on something close to his best, because the initiative and somarium beat his best out of him.]
Lacie. [he calls, eyes on her, watching.]
[action]
That usually, cheery smile plays on her lips as she stares up at one person she never thought she would see again. Oswald looks well. Hmm no, he looks tired. He's trying to hide it from her. Heh, somethings truly never change.]
Your face really will remain stuck forever if you always wear the same expression, big brother.
[action]
none the less, there's something like relief flitting across his expression as he looks down at her for a moment before resolving to just— sit down next to her and talk. it's easier that way; he did come to fetch her, but this is okay. he hasn't talked her in a year. —has it really been that long since she came and gone from somarium? this is long overdue.]
...what expression? [and excuse u he wouldn't mind if his face were always stuck in the :| expression omg.]
[action]
One which charms a million ladies and then frightens them all.
[Her cheery laughter bubbles up and she rolls her head so to properly look at her brother.]
Many a gentleman only wishes he might prevent bastards so easily.
