Zombies, right? From the scorch marks and the blood stains everywhere, it seems more likely than ghosts — but maybe spirits can bleed if you do them enough harm. I'm no expert on this sort of thing.

Though I can't say it's a "welcome back" I prefer, I can't say it's a complete surprise, either. Has the danger passed? Do you know? Or, should I expect some living corpses to leap out from the air vents and shower stalls?

Yeah probably.
I've never seen a zombie movie before...I'm pretty sure there were a bunch though. Back home.

It's possible. I said there's a lot, but that's only in the cultures I'm familiar with. I can't really say much about the sorts of stories you, or anyone else, might know from before.

If you don't mind me asking... is it that you haven't watched zombie movies, specifically, or that you didn't watch movies much at all? You don't have to answer.

It's OK. I didn't have a TV where I lived. And no movie theaters for hundreds of miles.

It sounds quiet.

Compared to how things can get here yeah, but it can be loud too...When there's festivals and things. Or singing. It echoes everywhere.

Caverns and cliffs? Or mountains? The area you're from, what sort of geography does it have?

Yes. They contain many of the tallest mountains on Earth. At least, on the Earth I know.
