[Gently:] Good morning, Exsilium.
[It almost sounds like a reminder.
Saul's looking just as businesslike as he did in his last network post, this time broadcasting from the Observatory. Elbows on his knees, hands clasped in front of him, he leans in and addresses the camera with an expression that's a little too somber to pass for neutral:]
As of last night, Medusa's gone home.
[He hopes that's where she's gone, anyway. He's never sure what happens to people after they disappear.
After a moment, the look on his face softens.]
For the time being, I've assumed the role of Director of the Department of Initiative-Transport Relations. Medusa and I started this together back in May, when its purpose was to foster trust between us and the Initiative by way of hiring liaisons to make announcements on the Initiative's behalf. Friendly faces, right?
But it's clear to me now that there's no use for that in our current predicament, so the Department's getting a bit of a makeover.
First of all, our name suggests a two-way street that's been, for the most part, frowned upon by those of you who still don't trust the Initiative — which is fine, by the way, since I'm not here to twist any arms or force Kool-Aid down any throats. But I'm gonna go ahead and make the radical claim that the Initiative needs us right now as much as we need them; their numbers are low and their world is gone. If anyone can sympathize with them, it's us.
So consider this my suggestion that we all get over ourselves, suspend our rightfully grouchy biases, and work together for everyone's benefit. The Department's new role will be to assist with that process. I know, I know, it sounds crazy, Saul, but here's the thing: we're on the moon because of a common enemy. And before anyone says the United Earth wouldn't be their enemy if they hadn't been dragged here through space and time in the first place, I'm here to tell you that you're sadly mistaken. If we can't band together a little more tightly, we very well may run out of time up here — and if we go without fixing what the United Earth did to all of us, there'll be no way to prevent them from crossing universes and destroying all of our homes, one by one, until there's nothing left.
[He leans back.]
I dunno about you guys, but that sounds pretty shitty to me.
I'm open to suggestions for how we can accomplish this successfully. [Which is a key word, because he sees no other option. They either succeed, or they're all screwed.] As for current Department staff, liaisons will remain liaisons with a potential shift in duties toward aiding the Initiative in keeping track of what they need help with. Any current liaisons who have no interest in this position should let me know, and we'll talk. The greeter duties haven't changed. Anyone interested in working with us should drop me a line. We'd be glad to have you.
Our new office is located in room 206 in the west wing. I'll be there later today.
[There's a pause, then, as he runs a hand through his hair to move onto other business.]
As far as supply runs are concerned, the list I promised is now available and can be accessed through the network. It'll be kept as up-to-date as possible, so before anyone heads out on a supply run, please double-check to see what we have on base to figure out what we need.
To anyone bringing back money or making investments, I'd like to suggest we set up a fund of sorts that can be drawn from for future missions. Not everyone here is comfortable with things like thievery, y'know?
Anyway, that's all for now.
Thanks for your attention, everyone.
[And the feed cuts.]

Thank you for the supply run list.
My name is Saori Nakagawa and I'd like to help with supplying two more things. You see...with my powers, I can create tea leaves, and any kind of rice. I do plan on participating in a few supply runs as well.
Video
Hey, Saori. You're welcome. I think those powers'll come in handy for those of us who like tea — and rice, that's good.
[Saul's not a tea drinker, but he knows a lot of folks here are.]
Wasn't there a tea shop back in the city? Was that yours?

But, are there any sort of plans for missions to get us back? All I've heard is supply missions, and unless their arsenal is powered by bandages and food- I don't think those will cut it.

You got it. If we do start handling money, I'll need someone to keep an eye on things and make sure no one with access to it is ripping us off. For now, though, I could definitely use another-nother pair of eyes, if you feel like keeping yours on the network and reporting back to me in the event of... you know, the usual. Discontentment, conspiring...

If we're going to do this, the Initiative could take some persuading, too. More transparency, for a start. More opportunities for real input.

That's an impressive list you've made when short on help. It should be really helpful for us to have a universal reference like that.
I'll be sure to take advantage of this in future... and direct anyone doing missions here, too. Speaking of which, I'm proud to report there are over two dozen names on the veteran-newcomer list.
Unfortunately, between all the work required to make the pages, my own missions, and the Agricultural Wing opening, I don't think I'll be able to release matchups immediately after the new arrivals. Does a date on the order of November 7th sound reasonable to you?
Video
[Here. Have a thumbs-up.]
As for the delay, don't worry about it — that'll give the newcomers a week to adjust before we start shoving extra information in their faces.
