[she's been getting pretty good at this typing thing, hence why her post today is in text, rather than anything else. It's good practice! Also she can't stop grinning so it's probably for the best considering what she's asking for today]

I require volunteers for something of an experiment. I am looking for those able to cast magic, and those willing to have magic cast upon them. I suppose one could say this is in the name of science, yes? And should one volunteer, all I require is an afternoon of your time.

There is no risk of harm or damage, of course. Except perhaps to one's dignity.

I don't think I've met any! But then, it makes sense that they would get more humans than not, as they all seem to be.

They aren't so bad. Most I've met are much more tolerant and open minded than many I've known in Thedas!

Not over humans, per say . . . they and Elves are the most common in my world.

I'm sorry, I'm being so rude, aren't I? It's just that you're very unique! To me, or anyone from Thedas, surely. Elven and human parents cannot conceive an elven child, as far as I am aware, nor...half elven, at least not those showing traits like you.

Well, I'm sorry, it's hard to judge just based through this little box, but your ears...! You see, were in Thedas, you would merely look like a human. That is why we do not interbreed, among...other reasons.

And I would assume most reasons would be the same as my own world. [she doesn't sound offended, at least. She's used to this, but on a much harsher scale.

She gestures to her hood] It is why I wear this, for the most part. In my world, were I as open about it as I am here, I would be put to death.

Oh my! That's...well, that's just horrible. I wouldn't say it is such a dire case where I am from, but then children who have one elven parent are just as humans, so there is little chance they could be discovered. Even so, it's more likely they'd live in the elven alienages with the other city elves.

They are not treated kindly [ SECOND CLASS CITIZENS BEHIND A WALL, YAY. ] and it is a terrible place to live, but there are interesting things, too! There are interesting things everywhere.

Half-elves of my world are considered their own being all together. Some try to live with elves or humans, depending on how well they blend in, but . . . most live in isolated villages, deep in the forests and far from the cities or larger villages around them. My own village was like that.

Really? You had a village and everything? Then at least you are able to build a community, and I suppose your own heritage! The Dalish elves, which is what I am, are rarely able to settle in any one place for long. The humans mostly leave us alone by now, but there is always risk.
