Well, it's a very selfless reason. You just want to help them. It's like the heroes of old stories who just want to help, but even more so because it's not very likely you'll get anything out of it.

He's... well, he's not the kindest person, I don't think. But he was nice to me. He lets me sit next to him, and we spend time together. He's very important to me.
