001 // Video
Hello.
[On screen is a pleasant looking young woman with short blonde hair and red eyes that might be dimly glowing, or is that a trick of the light? Something about the way she's speaking - in a clear English accent - has the air of someone who's practiced this speech beforehand.]
My name is Seras Victoria, it's my first time addressing the network here so nice to meet you all.
I'd like to talk about another particular issue of resources on the moon, though this resource is er... a little different from the others.
Some of you may be aware that werewolves aren't the only supernatural creatures living among you. Some of us are vampires.
[She won't name any names, respecting the privacy of those who would rather not publically announce what they are.]
I'm asking if anyone here would be willing to volunteer to donate blood specifically for the vampire population. There would be no biting involvedJan and it would never more than once a week, depending on how many people volunteer.
[Seras smiles hopefully.]
I know it's possible that we could make a supply run to a hospital or blood bank somewhere using the transport system but I'd rather not take it from where it might damage lives. We could do with getting the medical equipment to collect and store the blood however. Bags and a fridge for example. If anyone with medical knowledge could help that would be appreciated.
To any other vampires out there, I know a couple of you but if you'd like to contact me, privately if you wish, to have access to whatever we manage to organise, please do.
[Added on later to the post]
Erm, when I said once a week, it would really be a month. My mistake.

The sooner the better, really. I know of two other vampires besides myself as well who would need to drink soon if they haven't got their own sources.
[Speaking of one -- wow, okay, yeah, Jan. He's going to get it.]
Bloody hell. I'll give him more than a word for that. I'm sorry for him, he's a complete scumbag. I should know, he's from my world.
text; private
i could head to the clinic and give you a donation right now, if you want? i'd rather know you guys are well fed so we don't have to worry about anyone getting hurt.
the scumbag thing does not surprise me. but thanks for that, we don't really need someone like him making a nuisance of himself on top of everything else going on.
text; private
If you're sure you're alright to do so that would be brilliant. Someone at the clinic has offered to supply me with the equipment needed to do it safely.
He's from my world, so it's not an issue. I work as part of an organisation to control vampires like him.
text; private
i have access to the clinic's supplies anyway, i'm one of the medics, so yeah, i'm ready to go now.
[She's literally pulling her boots on as she types. And clipping her utility belt around her waist, under her sweater, just in case.]
that sounds like an interesting job to have

Thank you, I'll meet you there.
And yes, it is interesting. I sort of came into it by pure chance.

[With all the organization and sorting things out, the clinic can get a little hectic, so she figured to let Seras know who she's looking for.]
i'm guessing it had something to do with the fact you're now a vampire?
text; private
Yes. My Master serves them so when he turned me I had to as well.
[Seras gets up and heads for the clinic, still texting replies.]

Master.
Ugh.]
do you like it there?
text; private
I didn't at first but now I can't imagine my life without it. I have good friends there and they take care of me.
text; private
that's good to hear. it's nice to have friends around.
[and then, because she just arrived at the clinic:]
i'm gonna start getting set up here, i'll see you soon?
text; private --> Action?
[And she does arrive more or less in a minute, easily recognisable from her video post. Seras looks around and spots who she assumes is Steph quickly, making her way over.]
Hello, Steph?
action!
She turns at the sound of her name and smiles.]
Got it in one.
[She sets down a piece of equipment and offers her hand to shake.]
It's nice to meet you.
[manners!! sometimes she remembers them]
action!
[Seras says with a smile (with just a hint of fang), reaching to take Steph's hand with her own gloved one and shake it.]
Lovely to meet you too. It's so good of you to come so soon.

Just tell me whgat you want me to do here, I... actually haven't had much experience with this side. It usually gets handed to me pre-bagged.
[Seras nods.]
Well, it'd start off with us getting more irritable, then aggressive. The less well fed we are the harder it is to maintain a clear head, instinct is more likely to take over. I managed myself to go months once without drinking [But that was before she ever actually drank.] but I suppose I'm a bit of a special case. And of the other vampires here neither are exactly like me.
If say there was an accident, someone cut themselves or similar around us it could trigger an attack, no matter how well meaning we are.

[There's a strap on the bed, and she slips it up around her arm, tigtening it and clenching her fist a few times to find a vein, while she listens to Seras.
She thinks of mentioning Jesse, but... while Seras seems nice, she doesn't want to risk anyone going after Jesse because of what he can do.]
That's about what I was thinking. [based on mythology, etc.] Do you have any idea how long the other vampires can go between feeds, you'll probably get a few volunteers, and it might be good to have a schedule?
[With that, and a deep breath, she finds a vein and inserts the needle. At least she doesn't have to bother swapping out a vial; she had a blood test recently, so she doesn't need to do it again. Not that she even knows if vampires could catch blood transmitted diseases by feeding.
She'll ask that in a moment.]

[Seras nods and tries not to watch too closely as Steph inserts the needle. If Steph is watching close enough she might notice the small shift Seras makes, the little flare of her nostrils. The small clues (if those red eyes weren't enough) that there really is something not human about this woman.]
One I can guess he can go as long as I can, that would be Jan, the one you asked me to have a word with. The other I'll have to ask him as he's from a completely different world.
A schedule would be best, I've had a few volunteers besides yourself so I'm hoping I can work something out to keep us all comfortable.

Steph wants to see how her control is.
Which is probably stupid, when she's using herself as the experiment/bait, and the resurrection technology is down, but sometimes she makes bad decisions.]
Since we're thinking about keeping blood on hand for emergencies, we might be able to give you guys the leftovers when it expires.
[That way nothing goes to waste.]
But hey, look, if things ever get desperate for any reason, you come to me, yeah? I know I said there should be several weeks between donations, but I know what my body can handle, so if ever need more...
[Steph would rather make herself a little sick from blood loss for a couple days, rather than having hungry vampires on the loose.]
no subject
[It's all the reaction Seras gives, a reflex she can't help. She keeps herself under control, patiently telling her body that they'll get to drink soon.]
Thank you. I wouldn't want to risk your health but...
[But starving vampires are risking everyone's health when it comes down to it.]
If things get desperate.
[She promises.]

But they could do the same thing once they're back in Exsilium, anyway.]
I've done stupider things, it'll be fine.
[But she's glad to get that promise.]
