[This is Jaime's first post to the network as Blue Beetle, and the name displayed on the tablet has changed accordingly. For any hackers out there, it can't be linked back to him as he's not actually using his tablet; he's posting directly from his armour.]

Hey. Blue Beetle here.

I know that after all this, the last thing we're thinking about is the UE's soldiers, but something's been bugging me. Everyone who was on the distraction team with me, you must have noticed the new soldiers, right? They didn't have anything like them on Elmer's world, and I'm pretty sure that war was an all-hands-on-deck sort of deal.

The normal soldiers were really well equipped as it was, but these ones must have been metas. They were stronger, and faster. It was so busy on the field that I don't know whether or not I was seeing ones with different powers or if they all had the same skillset going on, but the ones I noticed could fly and had elemental powers.

And they were small. Like children.

[Which is deeply off-putting.]

I'm not sure what their deal is, but consider this a heads-up for what the UE's got in store, and the kind of technology we might find on them. For some reason, I don't think an army full of tiny meta-soldiers is something they just managed to find one day. If any of you ran into them too, I think it'd be good if we could get some sort of list of how much they can actually do.

Oh yeah, one last thing. Since we don't exactly have space suits around here yet, if there's any maintenance that needs to be done outside the base, let me know. I'm guessing we don't have a whole lot of people who can breathe out there, and my suit's built for space travel.

[ Please don't be children, she was way too distracted with just getting out to notice for herself, but she can't stand the thought of children being used like that-- again. ]

I really wish I could say that they were. But they looked and sounded like kids. From what we know, our most likely bet is that they're clones.

I told them not to! I told them, that was the only reason I would ever do what they wanted, if they didn't do... that!

[Okay, it's official, he hates being the bearer of bad news. He's made this unfailingly sweet girl sad. This is terrible.]

Hey, it's not your fault. This is something they were going to do no matter what.

I don't care what they do to me, I'll figure out how to get through it. It's just not fair to do that to kids. I already saw the same thing happen once, and I didn't want it to happen again.

[ Even though she's kind of just a kid herself, but she is fifteen which makes her totally mature. ]

It isn't fair. But apparently they've done the cloning thing before and they were going to do it again whether or not you guys cooperated.

Have you seen them using kids before?

Not the UE, they were...

[ Her brow furrows and she frowns, trying to remember the name. She fails to recall it and shakes her head. ]

I guess it doesn't matter who they were, they don't exist here, it was another group and they kidnapped a bunch of kids and did the same thing to them, they took our DNA and made them mutants.

This has happened to you twice now? I'm sorry, that must have been awful.

This isn't quite the same thing, we don't think. These kids probably never existed before the UE made them.

I don't know if that makes it better or worse...

[ A sigh. What is she going to do with all this information, anyway? ]

I don't know either. But at least this time, we can try to fix things.
