[Giovanni stood at one of the port holes and just stared. Endless space, sitting among the stars... Everything he knew felt so distant. Was that blue globe really where they had come from? ]
It’s not flat... I always suspected but...
[His voice faltered. He had lost some of his fire after threatening the life of the teleporter operator who had dragged him to the moon against his will a few days ago, but... he had learned a terrible truth since then. One even worse than being pulled to the moon against his will.]
Those who were not brought to the moon do you think they are still down there? I do not mean those on the island. I saw the massive cloud left by the explosion... I doubt any would have survived.
But, if some one were left on the continent and they were not pulled here by the Initiative machines, do you think they would still be there?
Or do you think they could have returned home? Is that possible?
[Some one was missing, some one very important. Giovanni’s son Ezio had disappeared in the chaos.
It was bad enough to lose everything that was familiar, but to lose his son too... He exhaled and scowled but made no move to leave the port hole. The vast emptiness of space fit his mood. He just felt helpless. ]
What are we meant to do on the moon...

I seek what everyone does, justice and the ability to chose your own direction in life. But, most of all I seek those who I was pulled away from. I find I...
[He paused as a vision of Ezio intruded on his thoughts. He had been so recently pulled away that the wound was still very fresh.]
I miss and worry after my family more the longer I am forced to remain here.

There must be a way... I just find it difficult to undercover right now. Even with study the technology that can be used I find I am still lost when entirely surrounded by it.

[He'd move heaven and earth to get is son safely back.]
I would have to find a way to return to help them.

Si, it was a Transport that I can not find. Had he arrived here I know he would have found a way to contact me.
I will try what you suggest, grazie.

[The whole 'moonbase' and losing his son at the same time has thrown him for a loop. It is difficult to see possibilities right now...]
I fail to see how with us not even on the same world any longer.

[ she gives a somewhat sympathetic smile. ]
Is it anyone in particular?

[The sympathy is appreciated though and he attempts to smile back, even if it is weakly done. ]

[But that worries her.]
...Who is missing, messere?
voice;
[They can worry together. That was not like Ezio at all!]
Unless he were captured or... some have said he might have been sent home, I just do not know what has become of him.
voice;
[Her voice is quiet, as close as she's willing to admit to genuine worry. Ezio didn't come with them? She knew he'd gone to help but...]
No, I do not think he would be captured. Perhaps you can speak with AI about finding him.

[voice] pops in late like a boss
Ooh, so you guys come from far enough back that you still thought the Earth was flat. Pretty cool view, huh? It turns, too!
[There, ice broken. He sobers a little as he goes on.]
I dunno how many made it, honestly. There were way too many people crowdin' around when we got here 'cause the Initiative is crazy. And I tried to tell everybody and I hope they listened, 'cause going back to the island right after the bomb's really bad for you. Like, you might just fall over and die bad.
Maybe they learned a little about how to hide, though. I mean, we were doing that for long enough, right?
[voice] fashionably late, so everyone can see your arrival ^^
[It didn't look like it was moving at all to him. Not that it really mattered right now but... it just really did not look like it was turning.]
Once the bomb has exploded that would be the end would it not? A bomb can not explode more than once?
[Oh future boy, just sit back and let him bombard you with questions! He always seemed to have so many these days. Technology and knowledge had advanced so much from his time, it was only a shame they were being put to such terrible use. ]
I hope they were able to find shelter. The ones we helped escaped have the best chance but... there were so many people on that island.
[voice] yep and I even have Starbucks
Ahh, I don't think it turns on anything! It's in empty space so it just... turns on itself? Like a spinning top, yanno, but round.
[That made sense, right? It's a weird concept to try and explain, because he's pretty sure nobody's ever asked a question like that in the present. Er, his present, anyway.]
And, um, with a nuclear bomb-- [it's also a little weird to have to keep explaining this] --it's supposed to poison the environment! So even after it goes off, it's not really safe at all. That's why we had to go so far an' all. It's better not to go back there for a while and just... hide out.
[He doesn't really want to think too hard about all the people on the island or the ones that just got left there in U.E. territory.]
[voice] If its hot chocolate I'm jealous
[It did make a bit of sense explained like that but it was a strange new concept.
The bomb's explanation made much more sense. If it some how poisoned the air... then no wonder they were advised to leave. Or rather forced to. You'd think after being kidnapped the first time he would not be so angry at being pulled to the moon the second time but he found the opposite was actually true. he was angry over his decisions being made for him, for the hundreds of lives that must have been lost and... ]
I must ask you, do you know a man named Ezio? You may have met him on the continent. I have not seen him since we were brought here.
[voice] nuuuu now I want hot chocolate...
