Good evening, fellow Transports.

Near the residence domes, anyone who reads this post unless I forgot someone will see a shimmering section of wall. That's the entrance to a kind of... Well I guess you'd call it a speakeasy I've assembled using a magic item I have.

I'm not really open yet, but I'll let people in so that they can be in an area with actual lights during the outage. Just don't try to sneak into the back rooms or anything.

That said, the real purpose here is more of a Help Wanted situation. I need wait staff, barkeeps, and a cleaner or two. Inquire within, of course - the goal's to create a small place of at least a little happiness for ourselves, so... Well, yeah.

Those I've already talked to, if you could please drop by as well, that'd be nice. There's a few more plans to consider, I think.

[And the shimmering gate is, indeed, open.

The room within is rather minimalistic, at least for now. The bar and tables look nice, at least, and there's a goodly amount of seating around. Across from the entrance and coat check (currently unstaffed), there's a bar, a Succubus wearing her usual outfit, and a sign saying "HELP WANTED!"

You could kibitz with Pidonus... Or ignore her and go talk with someone else who's chosen a bright room over a building stuck on just life support.]

Fascinating... [Then he spies Pid.] Hm. You've got good taste. This place doesn't look half bad.

Yeah. It's going to be better when it's active, I think, but for now... Well, gotta make do somehow, right?

I think it'll pick up more quickly then you know. For one thing, you're giving us a place to go that isn't yet another moon base corridor. Just to ability to go somewhere where you can stand UP straight, is appealing.

[He adds with a sheepish grin as he rubs his back under the shoulder and arches his back in a small stretch. That's what he gets for being tall.]

Secondly... and probably more importantly... you have drinks. Most of us don't. We took only what we could carry, after all, and glass bottles of dense liquid can add up quickly.

Yeah, when I realized that transportation was highly limited and I was one of a few who had a workaround, I... Sort of jumped on the booze when there probably would have been logically better choices.

Hopefully it'll help some people though.

It's all local stuff from Exsilium, so we're not talking Dwarven ales, but...

this might be a stupid question, but what's a 'speak easy'? some kind of restaurant?

It's an old term for an illegal bar.

I'm probably exaggerating by using the term, but it's not something planned by or approved by the Initiative at the least.

... I wish I could do food service. If I had enough extra magical resources to turn that part of things back on, then we wouldn't need to worry about food as much. Which would be nice.

you don't think they'd approve it? i'm sure the initiative members would rather eat something besides all these gross, dried out food bars, too.

so what would it take for you to 'turn that part of things back on' exactly? is it ingredients you need or something else?

I figure they'd try to keep us on a much tighter leash...

As for that? The conjuration magics would require I be able to increase the magical power put into it by... Two levels. Given it's already epic magic, we're talking a lot of money put into spell components.

Never mind how I shouldn't be able to get those while we're on the moon.

well, we are kind of low on resources right now...

so what you need is funding. and to get to somewhere that sells these uh 'components'?

More specifically, funding, and a city large enough that I can find the components even though they logically shouldn't exist on this world.

Well... A wait staff will be good once the place is working, as will a couple people to bus tables and such.

Don't worry about it too much, though. Confident people are a little more important right now. If this goes bad early on...

[Rise's definitely part of this already, and doing something beats moping around being sad, so she goes out to find the entrance to Pidonus' 'mansion'-turned-'speakeasy' pretty much as soon as she reads the text.

She's still a little down as she walks inside, but she smiles when she sees her friend.]

Pidonus-chan... hey!

[There's a little bounce in her step again as she slowly approaches, looking around to see how the place has been shaping up. It actually does feel like a bright spot in an otherwise dark world right now...]

It's looking great so far!

[Pidonus couldn't help but smile as Rise came in.]

I still have you to thank for getting it as far as it has gotten, honestly. There's more to go, but as a temporary safehouse, you could do a lot worse.

[Rise's smile brightens at that. She's been feeling pretty useless lately, so being able to take credit for her part in this is a huge deal!

Taking a seat nearby, she gives Pidonus that sly smirk of hers that says she has no plans to stop assisting with this plan anytime soon.]

Anything I can do to help~! This place is so much better than anything else we have up here already...

[With a wink, she adds:] Don't forget I'm an experienced waitress now, too!

[That's not so much a hint as a clearly stated intent. She'd already promised Pidonus she could waitress for her once she got this place set up, so she doesn't think she'd get turned down.

But! Pidonus asked to see the people she's already talked to, so... down to actual business now?]

What did you want to talk about?

Well, there's still a few business concerns I have to finish up. I'll need at least a small staff - more if the place grows out more.

Also, staff dress code. We should look distinctive in a crowd so people know who's actually working and can help them out.

I have ideas on that one that we might need to work out a bit later.

Alright... I don't really know that much about business except for showbiz, but I'm here if you need anything. I can be your assistant!

[It's half-joking, the way she says it, but... really, she's pretty much been Pidonus' assistant this whole time, hasn't she? And she genuinely is willing to help with those business concerns or even recruiting!

Also she still remembers that hot minidress Pidonus made for not!Samus, so her eyes literally sparkle at the mention of a dress code.]

Oh, we get uniforms?! I bet they'll be super hot, won't they?

I have ideas, but I still need to work them out. Fortunately I got some fabric and have a spell to put it together...

Well, the bars just need organizing, as do most of the private rooms before I can put those up for rent...

Now I just gotta finish it up. I'm thinking of opening it properly next week - give me a little more time to prepare and all.

What else do you need? I figure I still owe you some more liquor for carrying my bags.

Some harder liquors would be ideal, but I suspect we'll need to go through time for those.

A few bussers for handling dishes once the place is open would be nice, but don't worry about that.

I'll be going on supply trips, so I can just add it to my list no problem.

[The idea of him being a busboy is hilarious. He definitely won't be volunteering for that.]
