Here's a helpful notice for whoever might have come here from a world without the atomic bomb, getting the feeling these cold bastards are just overreacting, thinking a weapon even at this tech level is just a weapon and all of these people still have some insanely slim chance if they run far enough:

Keep your points. It's not selfish. What we're doing isn't right. But neither is spreading a hope that just isn't possible and leading them all out to die somewhere else.
