[Today Sango is looking just a little less out of place, her hair braided and her kimono substituted for a too-big sweater. Of course, the illusion of normalcy is still ruined by the giant boomerang on her back and the demon cat on her shoulder.]

It's easy to get very busy here, isn't it?

Perhaps it's only me, but I feel like I have less and less time to think. There's a lot of bustle here... never any real peace and quiet. Just another thing to miss from home, I guess, though some days I get the feeling that there aren't many people here who come from worlds--or times, maybe--as vastly different from Exsilium as mine is.

[A pause--she's rambling, isn't she.]

I'm Sango, anyway, and this is Kirara. [She touches the two-tailed cat on her shoulder lightly, who meows.] I hope those of you just arrived are settling in as best you can--I can try to answer some questions, if you still have them. For those of you who have upcoming plans with me, I'm going to have to cancel them for the next few days. I'll be with Mr. Summers' group in the wilderness; I'm sorry for the short notice.

We've still got plays and stuff back home. Never really seen one unless you count school plays, but most people don't think they're boring.

[Unless you're fourteen years old and watching your seven year old sister hobble around and forget her lines in some godawful costume, but that's not quite comparable.]

Not a fan of any of the books they got here?

School plays...? They have schools just for that?

[Not quite, Sango. As for the second part, she just shakes her head and looks a little sheepish, though admitting this has become a little easier now that she's done it a couple times.]

Well, actually, I just... can't read. Yet.

[She shrugs.]

I mean... either one.

Are there a lot of demons in your world? Do they eat people like in the stories?

There are a lot of them... and yes, many of them do.

YEAH! They're big and gross and they've got eight legs and sharp teeth and these really disgusting tails! [SHUDDERS] They are. The worst.

Can't say I've ever encountered those, but I've met some pretty bothersome rats and at least one completely despicable spider. Demons and otherwise.

A despicable spider? [his eyes are wide] That sounds scary.

Well, there are certainly reasons to fear him.

I guess I was thinking of a specific one and that's... more of a metaphor, sorry.

( when she wasn't in hospitals or underdog guerrilla wars. )

Here, I guess I'm a fighter? Or a talker. Talking is what I do best.

School, huh? I don't think I envy that much.

[A pause.] Well, I guess you can fight with words, too, right? Not my forte, perhaps, but still.

School's more fun than you think! When you have friends with you.

( Military academy's like Caesar's might be less so. )

Hmm? Haha, no, when I fight, I fight close range, but I'm not what you'd call a front lines sort of girl. Bad strategy and all that!

Kagome never seemed to think so.

[Then again, Kagome's school experience is constantly undermined by her lack of attendance. But what good is school if you can't skip to go destroy the bad guys?]

Oh, yes... you're probably right.
