Yes, and I would like to avoid that. Quite a bit.

['Turn of the millenium' could have a fairly broad meaning for someone who didn't live through the '90's. It's probably a good idea not to turn them onto layered hairstyles, flannel, or slip dresses.]

Tee shirts and jeans are a safe bet. They have been since the 1970's or so.

Popular fashion started getting a lot more casual in the second half of the twentieth century. Tee shirts and jeans are mass produced and a lot more inexpensive than tailored suits or dresses.

Ah. That is good to know . . . I am not much for dresses.

[While there were times when she indulged her feminine side with the occasional casual dress, she'd always been far more fond of the practicality a good durable pair of pants afforded. She nods in agreement.]

I can't say I'm a big fan of them either.

They are too restricting . . . and in some cases, revealing. [she gestures to her own tunic] I have yet to find clothes that are more comfortable then these.

Once you find something that works for you, it almost becomes a uniform.
