[It's been a while since Kili's shown his face in public, and as the feed starts, it becomes apparent as to why. The young dwarf is terribly pale, a gleam of sweat shining on his brow and dark shadows beneath bloodshot eyes. He's been ill, very much so, and it's only really now that he's become conscious enough to speak.

Some words are difficult to understand as his voice is mostly gone, and what is understandable is spoken in a rough, croaky tone.]

I will pay for someone to bring me food, and ale if possible. I have coin or I can pay you back in fresh game, once I-- [He's interrupted by a harsh cough.] Once I can hunt again.

[He's half tempted to ask for a healer. He may be getting better, but he still feels awful. His pride rebels against the idea. He's a dwarf, he's strong. He can handle this on his own. It's difficult enough to admit he's too weak to fetch himself food.]

If I could get that soon.

Alcohol is good for your wounds, not just for drinkin'. And I said antibiotics - medicine.

[Shrug] Either way, it's a good cure.

[Kili frowns at the suggestion of medicine.] Everyone's been suggesting that.

If you consider killin' yourself a cure, sure. Whatever works for you.

'Course they have. It'll stop any bleedin' and help you heal.

[kilimanjaro]

Killing myself? [Woah there, buddy. Kili's completely lost.]

I'm not bleeding.

Drink enough alcohol and it'll right kill you, is all I meant. [ He failed to word that properly. ]

You ain't hurtin' anywhere, then? No holes where they shouldn't be in your body?

[ Cause he knows all about that. ]

Alcohol can kill you? [He snorts in amusement.] I think I would already be dead, if that were the case.

Not currently, no.

You ain't ever heard of - or had - alcohol poisonin'...? [ Is this guy for real? ]

Reckon you just need bed rest. And the medicine. You might wanna consider visitin' the clinic at some point.

What, you mean like...rough mornings after? [He's had a few of those.]

I have a friend that has said she'll take care of me.

[beardedflannel]

[ So has Joel. Too many. ] Worse.

Good to hear.

[ Since Kili said 'she' ... Joel suspects Kili will be better in no time. Women at good at making sure bed rest and medicine follow strict time frames. ]

[If it's worse than rough mornings, then Kili has no idea what Joel means. He's grown up on alcohol, but his is generally the watered down type; ale, mead, substitutes for water when it wasn't available.]

I've..only had a few bad mornings, but nothing that didn't last longer than a few hours.

[He nods.] She'll help with anything I might need.

You must have some pretty quick stamina to you if you're recoverin' from alcohol poisoning within a few hours.

She part of the clinic?

[kilimanjaro]

I'm a dwarf. [Because that answers all questions.]

What is the clinic? [His voice is slightly sheepish but mostly curious.]

You mean a midget? [ This guy doesn't really look like a midget, though. He never knew them to have a somewhat uh- girly look to them. Long hair and all. ]

Clinic's where you'll find a doctor or a nurse. They'll help with whatever's bleedin' or broken.

[kilimanjaro]

[Stare.] ...A dwarf.

I'm not...bleeding or anything, just ill.

[beardedflannel]

A dwarf. [ Deadpans. ] You don't look much like a dwarf.

Doctors and nurses help with that, too.
